Just started doing crossword puzzles. Helps keep my mind going despite the medication fog I am in.

As you already know, I spend alot of time on video games. I have played Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon for the wii, then got interested in the Sims franchise. I have been playing Sims for awhile now so it really isn't new, however, I stopped playing the Sims Social on Facebook for about 6 months. Recently, I decided to give it another try and now I am more addicted than ever! lol So, it is sort of "new" to me again. I now have nearly 200 neighbors to help complete my quests and participate alot in one of the Sims groups on FB, helping my fellow "Simmers" in any way I can.

I used to love to do crafts and was very good at it, but that is practically non-existent now, except for the occassional greeting card. About a year ago, I painted a wooden snowman ornament, but adorned it with ribbon, glitter, flowers, etc.. to give it a more "victorian" look. I absolutely loved the outcome and wished that I could have painted a ton of them to sell at a local craft show. I really, really enjoyed doing that.

I started at the ranch with grandnephew.

On a real new thing I started a new quilt for grand child to be.

I was told that it's good to do something as simple as brushing your teeth wih the opposite hand. That didn't work very well...I ended up losing control and brushing up my cheek!

Guess I should start thinking...

wow, i've spent so long moving and unpacking and trying to decorate that i really just got back to jewelry making, but i switch crafts constantly...cooking is always different since i love to experiment with recipes, same with photography. pic monkey is a cool, free site to make cards from photos and i guess that's the newest thing i've tried. i want to get postcard backs and send or sell them since i have some nice ones of this city...
good question, dixie!! i think you have way more energy than i do!

I need something new to do before I go completely stir crazy! I'm just so limited with my motor skills and transportation. Anyone have any ideas for me? I'd sure appreciate it!

googling quotes and making them into cards on the computer...

there are hobby places where you can order online...

paper mache and water color painting are both easy and forgiving.

i really like the idea of sending cards to nursing homes.

i'm sitting here in the morning quiet (after crazy storms) listening to the roosters, dixie, really!

i was thinking of more things - many libraries have a webpage where you can search books and reserve them, so you can just walk in and not have to wander thru stacks. also movies and music. they also give or sale (25c) old magazines away...i get recent national geographics - 4/$1!

collages are also easy and can made from the old magazines and cardboard like cereal boxes split apart...

Oh gosh... I have not tried anything new in a long time. I picked up my knitting again recently...completing my chemo cap a few days ago and, now I am working on a scarf to match. Iam not an expert knitter at all...but, I know enough to do some basic stuff. My fingers go numb though all the time so...it makes it hard.

I would really love to try some new crafts, there are so many. Financially though...it gets a little challenging. I do love word finds...maybe I will go pick up a book or two when my next check comes in .

The last time i tried something new was when i tiled a toilet wall, that was a few months ago.
I did good, tho i need more practice cutting tiles!

Empathy I have always wanted to do that. I bet it is lovely. I may start simple with a a garden square. My husband did one in the design of an angel . I think I could manage something like that.

Wow such great ideas! I do arts and crafts with my nephews when they are over. The last time we did them we painted and tiled terracotta pots for them to take home. I try to do crafts with them when I am up to it. They love to explore their creative side!! Every once in awhile the big projects are ok, but I have a hard time sitting there for that long.

The newest thing I have done is I now have a pen pal. We have been writing, well I have been typing because it is easier on my hands, for a few months now. I think that the idea of sending cards to the elderly is a wonderful idea that I could handle. Or maybe a crossword book. I need to try to keep my mind active!
