Do you like to read, if so what are you currently reading? Who is your favorite author?
Mine is Francine Rivers
I'm currently trying to read Game of Thrones, but I'm getting tired of it. Great story, in fact its a series on HBO but to read it, it's too many characters to keep up with and too many made up fictional artifacts to keep up with as well. Not only do you keep up with names and people but the name of swords the names of their dogs, made up names of towns and castles and ships and on and on, it's endless and I just can't keep up with it.
Hippy told me about a book series by Jan Karon (no sure on spelling) I think I am going to go to the library today and get a couple of them and put the ones I'm currently reading away!
How bout you?

I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. when my son was little i loved babette cole!
if i can't sleep, i read sherlock holmes stories on my phone - i like to guess along and one or two helps me relax.
i have a couple of non-fiction books started, but can't stay with them enough. just uncovered norman cousins' book "head first," so i have that laying here to start today. the subtitle is the biology of hope and the healing power of the human spirit. read it years ago, but definitely need a refresher course!
I am reading Eye of My Heart by Barbara Graham.
serenity, Sue Monk Kidd is a great author. I have read both books you mentioned. There is a third. I can't remember the name but it is about a sewing circle. I love southern writers. Dorthea Benton Frank is very
good as well.

for nice little stories, kitchen table stories, rachel naomi remen.. thinks she's written more... and chicken soup for the surviving soul.
I like to read inspirational books too and right now one of them is The Path of Least Resistance by Robert Fritz, which I read many years ago and just dug up again.
A friend of mine just recommended Game of Thrones but after hearing your opinion Dix, I don't think I would like it.
I don't have a favourite writer. Well, I do like Barbara Kingsolver. Prodigal Summer is the next novel I will read. oh, I I loved THe Secret Life of Bees! I will check out Jan Caron.
i like historical novels, too. i read a great one called the other boleyn but i don't recall the author. very well-written and interesting. i have one on cleopatra and yours sounds interesting, too.
