88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

Much love and hugs to all my dear Hen's.
My latest brilliant idea was to start changing my Fentanyl patch at night instead of morning. Since my pain level has been crippling for most of the day after putting on the new one, I figured that if I had all night for it to start kicking in, I might be able to salvage the day instead of suffering for most of it. I only wear one for 48 hours before changing it so it hasn't been giving me much time for relief.
So...I showered, put on a new one 12 hours early to get on this new schedule and shut my light off around 8:00. Couldn't stay up another minute after getting so little sleep the night before.
At 11:30 my eyes were open...I mean wide awake like a new day had started! My dogs go along with whatever crazy schedule I keep. They've all been out and are back to sleep, now...while I sit here at the computer, cat on lap, wondering if my brilliant plan is going to be a bust. At least it wasn't any great amount of pain that woke me up!
Sweet dreams in the hen house...cluck cluck. I'll stay up and be the Guard Hen!
