Hello my lovelies
I got my botox on Tuesday and I swear he was using thicker needles as each hurt so much. Blissfully working this wednesday. Group meditation tonight and I'm feeling in deep need of some centering and getting my intentions back on track. I have to admit, this group meditation has certainly changed my life. I look back at what a mess I was last year and....wow. Pissed off at the past and worried about the future.....= nothing but useless stress and my life spiralling out of my control. Living in the moment like many of you guys do, really is the best medicine.
Hugs to you all. May it be pain free and sunny warm.

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

Its hard to live in the moment, but i try so much. Its one of those things that annoy me, i could sit here and think about the past and get pissed off like you. All the different scenarios go through my head, but nothing changes by my thinking about it, all i can do is learn from it.
Think about the future and "guess" what might happen, all that happens is that i frighten myself.
I cant stop things happening in the future, i can only learn how to deal with them differently by what i learned about thinking about the past!
I read an article in a magazine its ok to think about the past and the future, but dont dwell on it too long! It said sit down and say to yourself "Right i'm going to give myself 10 mins to "think" and then i'm going to get on with things"
Off to work in a bit like you
hugs
No plans for the day. Dh took off to pick up an unexpected load that paid really well. I hope he does ok taking off right after a chemo treatment like that.
Sons last soccer game was last night ...we win 6-2! They won every game this year. They were pretty excited:) undefeated. And let me tell you that is really something for this small school!!!
Have a good day everyone.
empathy, hope your day at work goes well. i like your approach of allowing yourself to reflect but not dwell.
dixie, how great about their last game! hoping dh feels up to the run he's on. hope you have a good day, too.
i slept well and have no signs of that bothersome headache that's gotten to me the last two days. fingers crossed. really want to do a few things around here today and spend some time in the sun. just that much will be plenty for me.
hope you each enjoy your day!
Angela, sorry about the pain from the botox. However I sure hope that it is giving you relief from the migraines.
I have went through them years ago. However after menopause was done a few years ago they come on much less.
I still take imitrex when I feel one starting and it gets rid of it right away.
I also know that meditation helps as I do it once a day.
Empathy, I really agree with what you said.
The only thing to do about the past is to learn from it and let it go.
Also yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come for all of us but we do have today to make the best of our life that we can!!
Kim, I sure hope that all went good with dh in the truck after his chemo yesterday.
How exiting about finishing the soccer season undefeated!!
Serenity, I am glad that you got to sleep last night.
Enjoy the sun… we have a snow storm watch for Thur night into Fri when I am supposed to take my FIL to a important doc appointment.
Today I go to check on the bronchitis. and if I am up to it I must pick up a few things at the grocery store.
Pain is enough to put up with and then add this on top of it :(
Hugs all
hope you're felling better very soon!
Dix I am thinking your T is a tough and determined guy. That is certainly in his favor. In my thinking his going out on a run means he is fighting this cancer and saying it won't win. He knows his body and if he is pushing too hard and in pain and you get that message over the phone I know it breaks your heart but he has to be the one to decide. Hopefully he won't say. Yay for the soccer team. How is your mouth?
Empathy wishes up for the day to go fast for work. That time will fly by and you will be back home before you know it.
Serenity enjoy that sunny day. We are cloudy and storms are brewing.
On past and future....my memories of past are always good. The good has always outweighed the bad. It is like my mind just wiped out the bad and allows me to see all those picture perfect moments in my life. There are so many. As far as the future is concerned I have for the past five or six years taken on "a one day at a time" attitude. It gets me through the day. I believe it is useless to worry and expend energy on worry for tomorrow. I enjoy the day I am in and am most thankful for it. Often the day brings glorious surprises. I don't have to plan for them. They just roll in. Just like the granddaughter's sleepover.
love and peace
