88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

I've had a lot of solicitors come to my door recently so I think I might order one of those, too! Kim, I hope all those visitors are at least bringing food!
It's been so miserably cold or snowing buckets every day. Sorry I've been so quiet. This winter is a bit too much and I'm not handling it very well....grrrrr!
Hugs and clucks....and a shiver!
cherry, glad to see you back. i know it's been a very rough winter for you. hope it's over soon even though it won't be soon enough.
i'm feeling fairly normal today after spending yesterday recuperating from the weekend of activities. i have a number of errands to do downtown including getting a heavy box to the PO to mail. lots to do in the apt, but that's on the back burner. my pain level has already gone up just doing a few things and i have to save it for the trip downtown.
good day to all whatever may come.
Thanks for your replies yesterday. I appreciated what you had to say. I'm feeling a little better.
Roll on summer !
Sunny warm hugs
Cherry, I am sending you a warm hug.. not just to keep you warm but to put a smile on your face.
Serenity, I sure hope that you were able to get all of the errands done and some good resting after.
Empathy, I care about you as all of us do.
Hopefully things will change around and you will start to feel like yourself at peace!
Today I have been doing laundry most of the day and some much needed rest again.
I do want to do something tomorrow as it will finally be above freezing…. 32 degrees sounds so warm after so many weeks below 0.
I will give my father I L a call and see if he wantes to do something tomorrow before a big snow storm and very cold temps come back. I am sure that he has been waiting to get out!
Take care
I wish I had a way to automatically yell Go Away to all the telemarketers we get on the phone.
So great your 16 year old is happy. Usually don't see alot of that with that age. lol
I hope your husband if feeling better and the visitors have slowed down a bit. I agree with Cherry.....I hope they all brought food. :-)
Cherry, I hope it warms up soon where you are my dear. Don't know how ya'll deal with it. But I guess it's just a way of life when you live where it snows. After this year of seeing how horrible the blizzards have been I don't think I will ever wish for snow again. Take care and try your best to keep warm.
Seren, I hope you had a good time with all the activities. Wishing you luck with that apt. and a successful and pain free trip downtown.
Empathy, I agree. Roll on summer!! Good to hear you are feeling better.
Cindi, good that you took time for the much needed rest. You deserve it. Your father-in-law is very lucky to have you. There are not a lot of DIL'S that would be so considerate.
I had to smile that you want to get out tomorrow if it is getting above freezing. If it was 32 degrees here, the whole entire city would be shut down.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week - free of pain and bad weather.
Love and clucks to all.
Kim you have a revolving door it seems. I think you need a sign for your door instead of a door mat. Of course your hubby probably enjoys the company. You deserve a vacation when this is over. I mean like a spring vacation off to your friends where all the beautiful lakes are. Michigan I believe. Let the guys bach it. T should be on road to recovery and the house can't get any more unorganized. You will come home refreshed. Does the donut mean T might be driving or is this just for comfort at home? Love you girl.
Cherry having been subjected to the worst winter in Arkansas history since I have lived here (36 years) I can't come close to identifying with yours. You have my respect and in my eyes you are a hero. I have moped around, lived in pjs, and in general felt like I was in a deep hole. I don't see how you do it..I am not even taking into account the physical work of firewood and drain on finances of oil and then again physical of clearing snow and ice.
I have no doubt that you live in a beautiful part of the country but these damn winters seem like a personal hell. I love you that you keep going and are here when you can come.
Serenity hope you get the big package dealt with and that your nice food truck will be coming soon and you can have some fresh vegetables to start some new meals with.
Remember pacing is good and don't forget those bag of tricks for relaxation and pain relief.
I noticed today my dogwood is setting on new leaves so I bet your big one is too. A promise of spring. Also saw some bulb plants coming up. Someone told my husband the almanac said we will have some more winter weather the last week of this month. Who knows.
Cindi last week when we had 32 and sun it seemed a heat wave and we were grateful. I am happy you will get out tomorrow to FIL. I know he must have cabin fever and will be glad to see you. Hope your jaw is doing better.
Me.....I received one of my maintenance meds from a new manufacture and it had made me sick. In doing research I find it has like 10 fillers and some not so nice. After further research I find I have three more pills that have same ingredient in them. I have had bad migraines and stomach problems since I started the new pill. Called pharmacist and he is switching me back to old manufacturer that doesn't have ingredient. I wish I hadn't gone this far into research because most of the drugs we take have up to 10 and sometimes more fillers of different types and some not pleasant. No wonder constipation and tummy problems and headaches and ect. My vent for day. My old one doesn't have the dreaded drug they use in contact lenses somekind of vinyl alcohol.
love and hugs
