Morning Hens,
You guys won't believe what happened. There is a set of railroad tracks on my road. Someone lost a slew of screws!! My MIL got 4 screws in her tire and had to replace her entire tire. My mom had one in her tire and had to replace her tire....well, she is suppose to but they had to do a patch job temporarily because she didn't have the money for a new tire. I got lucky because I went across the same track. I had a low tire and thought I had a tire going down to so I took mine in to the tire store. Thank goodness no screws, just low tires due to weather. They rotated them and only charged me $6.50. Anyway, they said they wondered why they had had so many people come in with flat tires in the same day!
My BIL took a big magnet and picked all the screws up off the tracks.
My cats are running through the house like race horses this morning.
Littlebit had me up at 4:30. I just got up and put my bed sheets in the washing machine and started coffee. Might as well get a jump on the day.
Never heard back from the dr.'s office yesterday. I called at 4:45 and they were already closed. I'll call this morning, it's embarrassing to keep nagging but....
Got my material cut to make that junk journal. Was it here someone asked me what a junk journal was? Just in case: sorry my memory is awful: a junk journal is a journal made up of scrap material. Stuff like junk mail, scraps of paper, time cards, ledger paper, watercolor paper, even magazine clippings, art work, notebook paper, just anything you want to put in it. Then it is bound in the book and then decorated with tags and book marks and bits of paper ect. String, pictures whatever:) they are cute, then you fill them with pictures, journal in them, draw in them, smash in them, put memorabilia in them ect. O yes it was Autumn that was asking.:)
So what are you Hens up to today? I have to clean on this house today. Especially the bathroom and kitchen.

It's a drizzly day. Freezing rain had been predicted, but it didn't get cold enough. Mid January and it's going to rain for hours before changing to snow.
My tenant has been in the hospital since last Wednesday. I talked to his sister last night because I heard his cat crying! That's when I found out he'd been gone for a week. I thought the cat had been abandoned, but his sister has been stopping in to care for it...I just hadn't seen her. Whew! I was about to go over there! Poor things misses her person.
I absolutely have to do my Mom's hair today. My pain has been too out of control to do it the past few days.

Is a journal a bit like a diary? You know when your a teen and write stuff like "Brad looked at me today and smiled"
I like the idea of a journal but i wouldn't want to put private thoughts in there!
Cherry, you would have thought your tenants sister would have let you know he was in hospital.
Ive been sawing up some wood, putting an extra shelf in a unit.
Ive got this bug that i want to clean the house to within an inch of its life, i just want everything to be spick and span. I can feel some ocd coming on.

empathy, i wish i could borrow some of that energy! good luck with your cleaning. i hope you'll pace yourself a bit.
yesterday was pay back day for me after my neighbor helped me pack up all the bins i'd bought and i still need more. she's an absolute blessing. i called the manager yesterday and got a bunch of excuses about them not doing a thing yet. today the maintenance man brought me a letter from her saying a higher manager would be coming by tomorrow any time after 9...so i want to tidy up more although my back is still pretty sore from sunday. i'll push through it.

Empathy....diary or anything you want it to be. You can just make it into a photo book if that's what you want and then journal about the photos. Anything.
I've been cleaning since 4:30 this morning but have a long way to go to Spock and span!
Serenity give that neighbor a hug from me and tell her TY! What a blessing people like her are! Try not to over do it today.
Well my back is hurting so I think I am done for the day.

Today I was supposed to watch the granddaughters all day.
We have a huge snow storm that started late morning and my daughter goes into work for 3am.. 12 hr shift but she told them she could only work 8 because I had to get back home safely. That was very thoughtful of her.
A drive of about an hour took me two hours to get home early afternoon.
Now I am worried about my husband getting home from the office which is normally about an hour from home also.
We have about 10 inches of snow already here at home and winds about 30 t0 35 mph!!!
Sorry that I could not address all of you but hands are numb and burning and typing is not too easy!

tiring day here, grandkids and the mom. have to take trip to the coast with hub to see thhe house they want to re build here. ill just go for cmpany we tried to g thhe 24th, but he is busy. what we do for work.
