Hi everyone.
I've been popping in and out of here, but I've been spinning around in my personal life, trying to fit things into place. Since I've been fired "without cause", I feel like I've been through a horrible car accident and I'm trying to piece together what happened. My self esteem and sense of self awareness has been bashed, but then restored when I was called out to lunch and nearly everyone showed up to show their love and support. My sense of fairness in the universe has been shaken (although I am a realist and don't expect a balance) but I feel like that damn rug keeps getting pulled out from out of me way too many times and I don't know how to stop it. I'm scared.
But, after these 6 days, I am happy to say that good things have transpired. I have less migraines. I came to a point whereby I realized that the universe delivered me out of that HELL. I was feeling so horribly trapped and a week earlier, it was so bad that in a meeting, I had actually nearly passed out (no one knew) - this is how bad things were getting and how bad I was being bullied. I realized that when my boss had quit 2 months ago, the very next day the 3 bullies started systematically making my life miserable, but I responded with grace and strength and I think that pissed them off even more. I left there a very popular person because of the respect that I always gave others.
The first few days after the firing, every few minutes I kept thinking of the unjustice and the unfairness, but now I am able to focus on positive things so I am moving on.
I was given this severance package whereby my yearly wage was lower than it actually was, and it was 8 pages of convoluted stipulations, and says if I get a job, I will only get 7,000....!!!! really! I went to see one of the best lawyers that deal with employee/employer litigations and he has never seen a severance contract that was over 4 pages. Most are 2 pages. Without jeopardizing my case, his counter offer is considerably different, and my job description has been risk management so I am neither scared of negotiation, nor impatient with these kind of process'.
Lastly, I've been painting like crazy. I got this idea today about approaching the local art store and teaming up with them about using their learning space to teach Encaustic painting (wax). I don't know of anyone that teaches that around here and I used to teach woodcarving for years, many years ago. It's not a career job, but it's something on the side that moves me more towards my passion. I still need to get the career job to pay the mortgage.
So, my friends, that is what has happened to this woman who used to love a job that was too tough on her head. Too much pressure and then later petty antagonist boys (because men don't do this kind of thing) got into power and pulled the rug out. She had to pick herself up, get some legal help, get some much needed sleep, change her outlook, and put her trust in God and the Universe that this too will work out. I do know that there is nothing that I am ashamed of and I am a very strong person.
Thanks for listening and being a part of my life and resolution, my buddies. Big hugs in this scary journey of mine.

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

Life seems a lot better for me since i adapted an approach of letting things happen rather than trying to control the universe and its events.
You cant stop the rain from falling from the sky... Oh its raining, what can i do? There is no option but to let it happen, accept it and find a way to cope with it. If i get wet or i dont get wet, i'm still going to be ok and YOUR going to ok.
I still stand by what i said in my hug to you, that one day you will look back and see this blow as a good thing. Its still raw and there's still going to be tough days, but the sun will shine, it always does.
i'm so glad that you could get together with your co-workers and have fun and get some closure with them.
sounds like you're on the upswing and i know you're strong enough to handle this and leave it behind.
kudos and best wishes in this new phase!
Something will come along. Hang in there, meanwhile enjoy some R&r R and your painting.
Hugs and love
Serenity, I so need to keep talking like I am in a better place. "Fake it until you make it", you know. Thanks for the support, I so know where to get it when I need it. The support of my sisterhood.
You are so right, Dixie, and you guys have seen and told me before that my job has been too hard on me, and I knew it, but I was stuck in the rat race of financial need. If my lawyer succeeds, then I can take the time to pick a job that is more aligned to my skills AND what is balanced with me physcially, emotionally and ethically. I was crying to the universe to deliver me out of my misery and I did get what I asked. There is also a deep releif within me.
Hugs and love to you all
