I awakened to quite a little dumping of snow. I was obviously not paying attention to the report because I was totally surprised. That was at 2:15 when my day began. It's not that cold...25 degrees. The high of the day is supposed to be 28 so this is pretty much as good as it's going to get.
My day consists of two haircuts and PT...anything else I accomplish will be a bonus.
Oh....almost forgot to tell you. I'm typing this on my new laptop! I've got a lot to learn and also need to figure out how and where I'm going to be able to use it and be comfortable. I'm at the table now and it's sure not working for me. I was too busy yesterday and in too much pain last night to play around with it. Hopefully, I can knock this pain level down a few notches and enjoy my new toy today.
What's up with you?

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

I woke with a headache this morning. Took 3 alive. Dh is waiting on me to go to Jackson with him but I don't dare leave the house til this headache is gone. Just sure as I go ahead and leave it will turn into a migraine and I can't function! He seems pretty patient to wait on me.
Wishing everyone a good day.
I woke with a headache this morning. Took 3 aleve. Dh is waiting on me to go to Jackson with him but I don't dare leave the house til this headache is gone. Just sure as I go ahead and leave it will turn into a migraine and I can't function! He seems pretty patient to wait on me.
Wishing everyone a good day.
About you and that headache...drink some coffee to go with that Aleve. Taking three sounds like an awful lot. Did a doctor say that was ok? I hope you can keep it from getting worse so you can get out with your hubby today.
Yeah to the laptops!
Hope yous guys's pains subsides today. I finally woke with a break.
Sorry to be absent in responding. I was reading post every day, but so busy. Kitchen still not done and house is askew. I'm thinking to hire the painting out, but the painter guy still hasn't phoned me back. But, I'm using the kitchen so that is fine. My parents are having a 60th wedding anniversary party on the 2nd of March and being the creative daughter, I have much work to do. Guests are coming in and I'm hosting a fellow from Holland for a few weeks so I have to get the house in order. Plus I said I would hand paint 30 candles that the guests can take home, and that is taking many hours.
Then I want to do a 20 minute narrative on the year that my parents got married, because this is really an amazing story. I went to the theatrical rental place and picked out clothing that my mother would have worn back then, and a wig, and had to style the hair like she had worn it, and props and pictures to go with the presentation, and editing my work, etc. Lots of work, but I enjoy the creative process.
I'm going to dress like my mother as I tell the story and try to take my audience back to 1953, Dutch immigrant, post war, while I tell the story. It's ambitious, but I believe I have what it takes to pull it off. And if not, well, then they suffer (lol)
Anyways, that's me for a few weeks, plus regular life thrown in.
Hugs to you all. I'm reading every day.

enigma, what a lovely daughter you are, thats such a lovely thing to do, i'm sure they will love all you do.
Enigma sounds very challenging and lots of fun!
Cherry I told my Dr. I couldn't afford the Imatrex for migraines.....it's $100.00 per pill and so he told me that three aleve was the same strength as one Imatrex. Yes it sounds like a lot but he told me it was ok. Not good for the stomach though.
I'm in Jackson with dh. Head still hurts...not quite as bad though . Going to stop in at Hobby Lobby and look at yarn before we head home.
Its where i get all my lovely beads from when i make a necklace.

Wednesday...it's Wednesday...
Dixie 100/pill?. I pay $120/box = 6/box = $20/pill. Still absurd!!! but if Aleve doesn't work, do see about Imitrex and double check that it isn't 100/per box, as it is an abortive and shrinks the blood vessels and blocks calcium uptake, whereas Aleve is a pain blocker only.
Empathy I don't know if its the same store or not. They are very similar though.
I'm finally home...in bed now to rest for a while before the kids get home. Still fighting a headache....at least it's not a migraine.
Hubby stopped at Starbucks and bought me Caramel Macchiato....yummy!:) happy girl here. It's a good thing we don't have a Starbucks in my home town!
Starbucks, we have one just about every block downtown in the big city and I have one on the corner of my street and one three blocks away and three blocks away again. Coffee addicts everywhere here.
