dix, thanks! it's the latest one and for that i'm glad. it was good to go out with my parents last night even though it's getting harder on my dad. today with my sister, so i'll be ready to stay home tomorrow. wish i didn't wake up at 5, but i'll get energized in a bit.

glad you have an excuse to stay home and rest today. any news from the appt?

A rainy day to come. I will be packing for trip. Good sleep last night. Making a new smoothie with almond milk, it has oats and strawberries and bananas in it. The recipe is on the carton of almond milk. Anyone trying dairy free might be interested.

Serenity I am glad you had good time with dad. I imagine evening is worse for his illness. Such an evil disease. I hope they find a cure or in ten years a large portion of our seniors are going to be there. I read that the odds for this is higher than heart disease for women. It sure got my attention. Have fun with sister.

Empathy I missed you. Yes we are rain, rain, rain also. I am not sure at the farm but I know we will travel in rain tomorrow. I am not sure I believe in the star stuff. Now the Chinese year I may. I think the seaside gift is a wonderful gift for you birthday. Seems you did that last year as well.

Minnie I am with you on the neck. I read that the pressure dropping causes movement of fluid in the joints.
The article said if we have arthritis or osteoarthritis in our spine we can expect more pain when the pressure drops. In fact our body can predict the weather. So I guess we can get jobs as weather women.

Dixie, I hope you enjoyed your day at home and FedEx didn't keep you waiting all day. It would be my luck for them to come early so not being able to use the excuse that I couldn't l leave because I was waiting on a package. :-) I don't know what it is around here but the delivery people ring the doorbell and by the time I can get to the door....they are already back in the truck and the package is on the front porch. The Post Office is the same way. Strange.

Hippy, I hope the car ride for the long trip is not too bad for you. That's a long drive. But I know you will have a good time once you are there. The smoothie sounds great. As soon as I read it I went to the fridge to read the Almond Milk carton and we didn't have a recipe there. :-( There are four cartons and none of them had it. Yes, four. Hubby is the only one drinking it and he buys everything in multiples. When you mentioned oats, were you talking about oats as in oatmeal?

Min, I hope your neck and shoulder feels better and the meds help you get some sleep.

Empathy, I hope you had a nice b-day. Not to worry about spelling mistakes as we all make them. I've even noticed when I use it...it doesn't always help if it is phonetically correct. You can get a totally different spelling if the words sound the same. That happens to me alot.

Hippy, I am now aging me as well. :-):-) I loved Queen for a Day!! "Back in the day." lol Of course we both watched it while we were still in diapers, right?

We are expecting rain storms tomorrow and I need to go out. Before I would panic because I couldn't see that well at all when it is raining but now that I've had the eye surgery it shouldn't be a problem. But it is. I need windshield wipers and I don't know if I can drive to get them in the rain. Plus the fact that the dealership wants $55 bucks and I think that is high. Then I would have to drive home and have Dh put them on.....if he can. If not I have to make an appt. and pay $25.00 for the dealership to install them. Such a rip off.
