oh, dixie, i'd be screaming if i were in your place. vent all you want. that situation would wear any of us down. did the home health aide make it? maybe you need visiting days and hours like hospitals. would anyone listen? you really need a few days off.

the snow is already melting here, but it did its damage. now our northern neighbors get pelted again. workmen are supposed to be back today, but i doubt they'll make it. i'm just doing more of the same today. i may venture out after noon. i'm getting cabin fever.

Kim, I am also wondering if your DH family and other visitors could come over at selected times.
This would give you somewhat of a break which you sure need!

Serenity, I talked to my youngest son who lives in Charlotte NC yesterday and he said the state was in a "state of emergency".
He was told to do his work from home because of the terrible road conditions.
He then thought wow this snow is something that we deal with most of the winter back here at home in Wisconsin and just could not believe how different things are down in the south with snow.

I had a scary time yesterday when the left side jaw joint locked up.
I called my doc and he said to come right in.
He did some massaging and feeling the area and said that I will have to be set up with PT for this and they will also take care of x ray or MRI and see what is going on.
Boy it sure seems to go from one thing to another!

Serenity I think I have gotten to the point I could stay in and never go out and be perfectly happy. But if you need out I hope you can:) maybe go do something fun?

As for setting a time for visitors my husband would pitch a fit....that would seem rude....he would say. He just loves all this company he is getting. Tell you what...if I ever get sick I will demand no visitors!

Its funny, when i had my gall bladder op, the last thing i wanted was visitors, i guess we are all different.
Dix its understandable you feel bogged down by visitors and want things back to normal, or as normal as things can be.
seren, i hope you get out later, take care tho, slushy snow can still be slippery.
cindy it was nice to read about your valentine surprise : )
but sad to read about your jaw locking, i hope you find out its not too much to worry about. Stress is one cause, we tend to clench our jaw and teeth shut, i tend to grind my teeth and sometimes on waking my jaw aches so i know ive been clenching them in my sleep.

Weve been out and gone round the charity shops, i got a lovely purple top and we found 4 dvds
Ive got a small blue chest box that i want to decorate with sea shells i have, going to do that next.

At last sunshine and high 50s. I am on the deck soaking it up. It seems an eternity.
I believe this is to carry through next week. Joy. Finally can come out of hibernation.
Looking for more energy. Will air house and get rid of dust today. No more heavy meals.

Cindi the jaw thing sounds scary. Good you could see your doctor. You are right about if it isn't one thing it is another. You are very strong. What your son says about the snow and the south is very true.
I grew up in Kansas City and still can't believe how crazy people get when it snows. Our schools will be going into Spring Break and we only had ice once and snow once both melted within the next day but at the threat of bad weather they close the schools.

Empathy sounds like you scored big on your shopping trip. I can't wait to see the box when you are finished.

cindi, that jaw lock sounds very scary. i hope they can find the source and get that under control. i understand that feeling of what next. i just try not to go there. after walking through feet of snow just to get to work in ny, it's crazy to me how the south shuts down, but it is very unusual so people and cities aren't prepared.

the sun did come through today and melted most of the mess. it was so pretty last night, but glad it's gone. my walk was fine, not too much slush. the workmen didn't come, of course, but at least i can get around this tiny place without tripping over boxes.

Dixie, yes grand daughter is such a trip. She's the baby of the family so of course she is spoiled rotten. But now that she has two new step sisters that are older she seems to be getting better. She is still the baby of course but I think she is trying hard to fit in with them.

I so wish you could get some rest! No you don't sound ungrateful at all!!!! And you should never complain about whining, as I don't think any of us here see it that way. I guess the one thing I could say is that your hubby must be very well liked that he has had so many people come to visit. I hope they are calling first. :-(

Seren, I hope you got out today and getting over that cabin fever. I sure feel for you guys that are dealing with this crazy weather. The really don't know how to deal with it down south. My surgery was canceled two weeks ago because it was "suppose" to freeze.

Cindi, that is really scary about your jaw. I sure hope they can figure it out. Have you ever had a problem with your jaw before? And the reason I ask this is because I was in a car wreck many years ago and broke my jaw. It still pops in and out at the dentist. I have a panic attack everytime I have to go there as I have such a fear that it will lock up on me. Oh, p.s. Did I mention my dentist and hygenist hate me. lol. Especially the dentist that was giving me a root canal and crown when I sat straight up in the chair at the wrong time and he had to start over. I think I might have heard the F-bomb coming from him. :-(

I so hope they get it figured out and that you are not in any pain.

I agree with you. I never wanted any visitors after surgery either or even if I was just feeling bad. My hubby seems to hover and I have to just politely ask him..........STOP HOVERING! lol. God bless him. He is a sweetheart but enough is enough.
