Morning Hens,
I guess I don't make for a very good caregiver cause my dh is really getting on my nerves. He paces constantly. Yet it's constantly "will you?" He is perfectly capable of doing for himself. And grumpy! I'll be glad when he feels like getting outside. Going to take him to Walmart to walk today if he feels up to it. Right now he doesn't. Believe it or not he is already addicted to his pain killers. When it is time for one he starts sweating. Hot and cold hot and cold. But as soon as he takes one he is fine. So he is trying not to take one....he is miserable. He is on oxycodone. They had him on dilllaudine pump to start with then switched him to the oxy.
Plus I am supper stressed at the tension in the house between him and my 16 year old. The got into a big fight. And another is on the edge waiting to explode.
O I am so ready for summer!! Warm sultry days laying in tha hammock or in the porch swing napping lol. Mornings listening to the birds sing the songs. Flowers giving off their sweet morning fragrance. My chickens chirping around in the yard:)
Wishing you all a good day

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

I'm doing a lot of sleeping and I have another job interview tomorrow. I was just thinking that maybe being anemic now is the 'universe's' way of forcing me to stop and finally rest. Tragedies in life, they say, are ways of adjusting you onto better paths. Hmmmm. We all better have something nice coming our way for the turmoil that has been going on in this forum. There is a novel here if we get some good outcomes.....
Hang on buddies. love ya
Summer sounds good, i am so fed up of all this rain we are having!
Ive been to work the last couple of days, theyve been ok.
I need to try and not isolate myself so much, share a bit more of what i'm feeling.
hugs to all
rec'd letter from landlord that they're working on the bathroom tomorrow and i have to remove everything. i have decorative shower curtains up that i can't get down. i've left a message on her VM that i need help. i didn't put it up and i can't get on a ladder and pull down the rod. there are a few other serious issues to be addressed. what a bother. at least i slept better and found my sense of humor, sorta. i'm wondering about bulbs or something i can get ready for spring. this winter has been too much.
cherry, are you ok? hope our other hens will check in.
hugs to all!
Snow flurries here. Big oak still on ground in back yard lying on fence taking up large amount of space.
Trees are like my family so loosing one is grief for me and this one was a beauty. Will mourn for awhile.
Youngest son called to announce the snow flurries. He loves snow and was very happy. That put me in happy mood. It is very cold. Was 19 when I got up at 10.
Kim you are the best caretaker. You stayed by his side for the hard times after surgery. It will get better.
He will need the meds for awhile and now isn't time to think about weaning. Often the body uses the med when there is pain and as pain decreases it will be gradual off. Most likely the surgeon will move him to something lighter and decrease gradual. I had the same med after my accident plus fentanyl patch and had no problem going to lighter pain med. I took every med as directed by doctor. That is key. If he does that I really believe he will be okay. You are an awesome wife and caregiver.
Angela I agree with you on how our body and the universe knows when we need that quiet time. We just need to listen and follow. I wish you well on interview. If you let it go and give it to up to universe, which I think is hard to do, it will come. I say hard because it is for me. Often I have had resolution without any involvement on my part. That is when I realized I didn't always have to be in control.
Serenity hope those fumes are gone and someone takes your shower curtain down for you. More smelly stuff again with paint fumes I am guessing. Did the wind bring cold? Wishing you and Miss P a good day.
Empathy good to see you again. I have seen on national news all the rain your part of the country is getting.
Somewhere I saw people around shops up to their knees in water. Hope not your area. Must be a real task to get to work but glad you are able. Believe you are right on the not isolating and getting some feelings out.
This has been a difficult period of hardship and pain and family health for many of us. Worst winter in a very long time for most of the states. Sharing and receiving support helps.
