Sounds like you will have a busy xmas. I can't believe there are only 6 days left. I have done nothing for xmas. No decorations, no shopping, Can't seem to get any help yet. Just trying to get the pain a little lower.

dixie, glad you got dh to cut the dowel and you can be on schedule with the gift. i hope you get your appetite back, but 3 dinners seems impossible anyway. good luck.

RJ, sorry that your pain is so bad and for so long.

i'm almost finished with gifts, but have a couple more things to get. the chaos of the last week has put me off a good bit. i'm out of panic mode about it all now.

i'm headed out to the mobile market to buy some veggies and make a hearty soup. after days of eating only a bit of junk, i'm craving healthy food. i was startled awake at 4, so i'll take a nice nap while it simmers.

You know when you think you've got it all, and then you get it all out and go through it, going through what you got each person and then doubt sinks in... and you think...."it doesn't look much, i'm going to have to get another little something to add to it" yep! So just some stocking fillers to get.

Three Christmas dinners to go to?? That's alot of dinner's. :-) It's too bad you can't combine them all into one.

Great that your DH got the dowel cut and now you can get everything together and mail to your friend. It will probably ship ok, but I would be worried if it made it there by Christmas. It's getting late. :-) If I was getting a nice gift as that, I wouldn't have a problem with it being late.

RJ, I am so sorry that you are in so much pain that you are not even able to shop. I'm sure your family will understand. I hope you will get the help you need very soon.

Seren, a good hearty soup sounds soo good. I'm glad you are out of panic mode as mine is in high gear. How do you do it? :-) Heck....I'm always in panic mode, for any occasion.

Empathy, that happens to me every year! I have this list of what I bought and I keep reading it. If it doesn't add up for everyone I go out and shop again. And every year AFTER Christmas I tell my dh I don't know why I keep doing that and I'm not going to do it again.......but I always do. Heck those kids get so much crap I don't think they even have a clue what's from us. And yes, I will be shopping again tommorrow.

Good to hear you were able to go back to work. I hope you got some rest when you got home.
