Tell me something that I may not know about you:)
I was once a DJ for a radio station.
But since a couple of people here know that I will tell you something else......
Pet peeve......I HATE it when people taste test food when they are cooking LOL......I know a lot of cooks do it to see if food is seasoned well....but it still bugs me. My dh does it so much that he is hardly hungry by the time he sits down to the finished meal....gosh it irritates me!!!! I won't let him in the kitchen win me when I'm cooking. And when he is cooking I will stay in another room. Grrrrr:)

75FIt is really cooler today and this will trick us into believing it will become cooler. Our hot summer will keep on aftert this week. We will not be fooled. Sandra, one of our regrets is not being able to visit Great Britain and travel for two weeks when younger. As we age we just become slower and that really takes away from travel. Our retirement did the same thing with age 65 vs 67 also if...

Hiya,It's cloudy with the occasional show of sunshine. It was sooo hot last night, felt like the worst night this year, which is odd because it's been incredibly hot this summer for us. Maybe I just felt it last night.Still, it's all going to change now and the weather will shift. Of course there's going to be a few more nice days left this month and next, but essentially I guess the "hot...

Let's see...it was discovered that I had perfect pitch shortly after I started to talk and performed my first song and tap dance solo on stage at the age of 6!
If anyone enters my kitchen without immediately washing their hands, they are promptly directed toward the sink!
Hugs and clean, musical clucks...
After my first child turned a year. I did a triathlon. Now I'm luck I am walking, haha.
Pet peeve, too many to count. One is company looking through my cabinets. Just ask and I'll get it or show you, grr!
i was a pool champion, played in a few tournaments and head of a few good teams. still have my cue.
i'm guilty of committing your pet peeve. i always wash my spoon though and my hands!, but i do taste a lot. mine is drop in visits...in this day of cell phones i can't understand why people can't give you a heads up. i can't just be ready at a moment's notice any more. yes, janie, many others, too!
As a young woman trying to make ends meet, on top of our day jobs, hubby and I would buy junky old cars and fix them up and resell them at a profit. We would do engine work, clean the engine, put on better tires, do some body work, put on a cheap paint job, totally detail and clean and usually double our money.
Pet peeve.......it is when people get hung up on these catch phrases. Few years back the word "basically" was over used. Recently it was "no worries" and then "perfect" and this past year I keep hearing " I was so scared that I peed my pants" or WORSE " I shiat my pants" really!?! It seems that pretty girls tend to say this last crude phrase a lot and I don't get it. Repeating nonsense catch phrases is annoying. Basically peeing my pants over no worries is perfect.
That and sneezing without covering your mouth. KNOCK IT OFF.
kisses to all
I never knew you were a DJ! That is soo cool!! OK, did I just show my age by saying "cool"? Dixie, I don't understand how anyone can cook without tasting. :-)
I was an award winning Gymnast waaay back in the day. Unfortunately, I never made the cut for the Olympics but had friends from other teams who did that I competed against.
Pet Peeve...too many to list. But the one that is getting to me everyday lately is that people DO NOT return the shopping cart to the cart drop!!!! Why would someone leave the cart in front of their car, then leave when they are parked right next to the cart return????? I usually bring them into the store with me and then I come back and find ANOTHER ONE in the same place!!!! It's not that far of a walk people!!
Pet peeve...can't stand anything sticky. If it is on me or where I step, I have to wash it off or I will go nuts. (more than normal. LOL)
Cherry I didn't know you could sing! And btw...I wash my hands in the kitchen but only if I am fixing to cook a meal:)
Janie I am just the opposite....I like for people to make theirsselves feel at home in my house. Only my bedroom is off limits....nothing to hide but it just feels very personal...ya know.
Serenity I am with you on the drop in visits!!! At least give me 10 min. To do a quick pick up if I need to!
Enigma you are so funny girl! I hear you though. The "like" word nearly drove me nuts. Kids had to use it 20 times in one sentence like you know, like what I mean LOl grrrrrrrr
Carly that's cool...gymnast! As for the carts....I try to park next to a return and/ if it's not too far I usually return it. Bit I'm not going to lie and say I've never left one beside my car...but it's been on days I was in a lot of pain. I agree it is frustrating...so many people do it and like you said...even when the return is right beside their car!!!
RJ so sorry your family didn't support you in ice skating! I love to watch that on TV!!
Fun thread girls...thanks for participating!
My pet peeve is disorder. I don't like shopping and finding nice clothing on the floor in a dressing room. Same goes for food store when some idiot decides they don't want a refrigerated product and they leave it in produce or dry foods. Same goes for home when hubby doesn't put something back from where he got it and then I look forever.
Many wouldn't believe I was very shy during my school years. I actually froze in font of class when I had to give a speech in a high school. The job I retired from required a lot of public speaking .
Large client groups as well as groups of my peers in the work place.
My friends here would be surprised to know that my job took me to large metropolitan areas and I had to pick up a rental car and find my way around those areas. Maybe that is why I don't drive at all today.
One true statement about me is I can get lost in a paper box. In a large restaurant if I get up to go to the ladies room I can't find my table. My husband jokes about sending a search party. My secret is to find markers around my table and remember them. Perhaps I should drop bread crumbs.
One more thing while I'm at it, lmbo. Flush the dang toilet after you pee, please!!!
I even got lost trying to find my way home from my brother's house. I had a map quest but I only did it for getting there and not getting home. :-( I can't think backwards. So what if it took me an extra hour to get home. lol.
Oh, tendon......toothpaste on the mirror?? That is because they are facing the mirror when they brush......and flossing toward the mirror is even worse. Why not floss into the sink?? I actually walked in on DH flossing in the bed while he was watching the news!!! Needless to say.........I lost it!! He has never made that mistake again. :-)
Please wipe down the water on the faucets after you use them. If you don't...... they just get gross and it is sooo much more work. Why not do everything right the first time?
I love doing karaoke!!!
For 22 years I worked at a company where I walked on cement floors constantly for 12 hour shifts... no wonder I have so many foot problems!!
Pet peeve... things that don't belong there all over the kitchen counter tops and dining room table. I am always picking up after my husband but over the years he is getting much better!!
And yes Carly please wipe down the water on the faucets!!!
boy, i share so many of these pet peeves. when i shop i think i do more organizing than the staff, esp greeting cards. yes, and cleaning the sink after i use it...on and on. i try to smile it off when i can.
