Morning Hens,
I am making coffee this morning. This will be the first cup I've had in over a week. It sure smells good perking! I have no plans today. I might go to Lowes or Walmart and buy some flowers to plant. I have a very shady front yard.....think I will plant some impatients.
Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday.
Hugs

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. That coffee's going to taste soooo good after such a long time! Don't you just love when it's time to plant flowers?
I planted two long containers of fancy salad greens a couple days ago and yesterday I did a smaller container of Basil and my Dad planted my pole beans. It's just a bit early for flowers since we've been known to have a frost even the first week of June! I know....it's just wrong.
We're having a string of beautiful days. It's been in the 70s and even hit 80 a couple days! I wish I didn't have to be so careful about the heat, but the Fentanyl patch forces me to stay cool. When my pain level is way up, I am tempted to sit outside and bake!
Hugs and clucks! Have a wonderful Sunday...
dixie, so glad you're able to have coffee again. do love that smell, too! hope you get to plant some flowers.
cherry, good to hear that you're having nice weather and got some planting done. i need to do mine after this rain stops. sage is the only thing that survived the afternoon heat, so i'll start from scratch.
today is more of the same for me...weather and to do-wise. we're 9 inches above normal rain, so i'd love to see some sun.
I think spring fever has hit us what with all this planting going on.
Ive been digging up the borders and putting down son grass seed, our poor garden got so water logged over the winter.
Ive also had everything out my shed and dumped what i didnt want, and put the rest back neat and tidy.
Done some ironing and 2 loads of washing.
After all that i had a nice soak in the bath!
