It's suppose to be 76 degrees here today.:) my husband didn't get any of my plants planted yesterday so we will do that today. That's all I have planned. Was going to try to go to church but my back is killing me.

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. It will be a perfect day for planting. I so need to re pot some of mine, but K has about 4 hours of homework left and that is all I am planning on doing.
Other parents>>>>>K is 8yo and in 2nd grade. She has 2 to 3 hours of homework on weeknights and 5 to 6 hours of homework on the weekend, we even did 20 hours over our 2 week spring break. My question.........Am I the only one that thinks this is too much for her age group?!?!?!?!?!

Weve had sunshine but its real windy!
Ive had a pain on my right side all night and all day (IBS). Its really beginning to aggravate me now.
Solace, that is way too much homework for an 8 year old!
I hated homework when i was at school! Loathed it!
I never pushed for homework to be done, to my mind, home is home and school is school, my son did what he needed to and no more.

I spent most of the night up and all of the morning baking for my Son's birthday. Well...some of that was cleaning up, too and my parents came down so Mom could 'help'. Groan.... It's always so much more work for me when they are here. But I'm lucky to still have them.
I just had a little rest and felt like staying on my bed the rest of the day. It's 2:00 and I need to get my body moving...not sure why, but I feel useless enough without completely giving in to it.
Let's try to have an end of day check in, too. Now that I've suggested it, I guess it's my responsibility to make sure it happens. Don't wait for me, though.

I had surgery on Thursday, and feel a bit down.
I had my parathyroid taken out, not a big deal they said, but feeling dizzy and sore.
My husband wishes to see a movie, so I will go, hope I do not go to sleep! Ha!
