What are you girls doing today?
My SIL is having her family thanksgiving today. Because her daughters family is having theirs with her husbands on Thursday. So we are invited to come. Then my mom is doing thanksgiving Thursday. And then my mil is having thanksgiving day after thanksgiving. Ridiculous! I don't know why we can't all just get together on one day. But I'll tell you what it is...instead of it being the true meaning of being 'thankful' it's about a family get together and there are rifts....no one wants to get together with the other family. I think it would be fun. But of course that would not go,over very well ....what I think.
So we are going to feas t on turkey.....and put up with a family member that will not speak to me......think I will just talk her head off LOL:)
Then I hope I will feel like coming home and working on MIL's Christmas present.

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...
Hubby and I are having a quiet Thanksgiving dinner just the 2 of us. We have when the body was still willing volunteered at the VFW to cook/serve/cleanup the community dinner. That was so much fun and truly made us thankful. But alas age and Hubby's COPD does not allow us to work Turkey day any longer but we still donate a couple of turkeys and pies.
What are you making for MIL Dix?
this year is going to be an all together (with new in-laws to be) dinner. all i can say is my mother promised to bring me extra pain pills and xanax for my dad with alzheimers b/c he gets worked up around a lot of people. shhh, please don't tell! i think i'm getting a headache just thinking about it.
joyce, that's very nice you used to do that. i used to do it, too, and those were the best thanksgivings actually.
wishing all good luck. maybe we'll need a hotline post to keep each other sane!
Serenity prayers for you Hun!
Surprisingly laying down at the moment. First time I've had morning pain since starting the Topomax. Probably just worried...the stress of what's to come today:( loving the Topomax though. I took it early yesterday and within 30 min. My pain eased up. ( I did take it 10 hrs from the time I had taken it that morning) so I think it is really going to work for me! Sooo happy!!!
Ive had such a lazy and everyone else around me seems to be so tired and also having a slump sunday.
The only thing ive done is clean the bathroom.

My hubby ended up going out with the guys last night!
He hesitated about going because we don't do very much apart.
He stayed over at one of the guys home.
I then called a great girlfriend who lives an hour away and we planned to get together and me stay at her home.
It was such a wonderful evening.. a lot of girl talk.
Back home now and watching the Green Bay Packers game and just relaxing.

Joyce my husband and I have had several Thanksgiving Dinners just the two of us. Our youngest son always goes to I laws that day and our oldest is hit and miss. This year he and the children will be with us.
Serenity sounds like mom is going to have a houseful. Wishing for easy weather so you will feel your best.
Looking forward to seeing the picture of the dogwood tree. Mine was gorgeous until the winds on Thursday.
In the spring it is so white with blooms it is almost binding. I can sit in my chair and look at it out the living room window.
Empathy slump Sunday sounds good. I have been reading most all day. So sorry you miss out on the hustle bustle of Turkey day and then the Black Friday sales that now start on Thanksgiving. The day starts early with the big Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on television unless you are live in New York. There is food and football and family and more of all three.
Cindi girl's night sounds fun. Hope your Packers won.
