Hey girls, how is everyone today?
Thought I would share something with you:
In my crafting community there is a thing called a RAK what it means is : Random Act of Kindness
People will send a box or a large envelope of craft goodies to someone. I have wanted to do that but I don't have a lot of stuff to share yet. Unlike some crafters who live by great thrift stores and are able to collect up lots of stuff to share. So I was kinda down about not being able to join in the fun of sending a RAK to someone.
Then one day I got a regular long envelope in the mail. Inside was the simplest little craft items. Tiny pieces of art and I just LOVEd it. And it was an aha! Moment!!! I can do that !!! I have stuff that would fit in an envelope!
The thing is....I'm a giver. I love to give! And I love to put a smile on someone's face!
Anyway. Just thought I would share that with you girls....if there is someone you would like to put a smile on there face...send them an envelope with goodies in it. There is just something special and exciting about getting something in the mail....besides bills!!! It could just be a card or like I did the other day....I filled an envelope with some tiny pieces of art, some stickers, some die cuts, a poem, a piece of ribbon, a couple of buttons, some craft paper( this was going to a craft person) what fun it is to recieve something like this in the mail!!!!
Just a thought.....an idea you might want to do sometime:)
I have received two of these....and I can't tell you how excited i was and how much fun they were....especially right now when I am under so much stress!
Maybe the stuff you put in the envelope will never be used by the receiver....SO! , that's not the point....it was to make someone smile and have fun!
Something simple, inexpensive and fun and knowing you put a smile on someone's face.....what a blessing!!
Food for thought:)

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. Ive been busy today, i bought some of those bags that you put stuff in, clothes etc and then put the vacuum on them and suck all the air out, such fun, lol!
Empathy don't you just love those bags. I have some and need to use them again. They were great for storing my sweaters and long slacks and jeans. Now it is time to put the summer in them.
I have been resting up from yesterday. We drove about 75 miles round trip to an adoption event so my little pound puppy Romeo could see his "mama Roxie" and "mama Tania". We were there two and half hours and both our little guys had fun. Romeo doesn't forget his other mamas . He was so excited to see them.
The event was at Petco and sure enjoyed dog watching. Also got 75% off some cute things for pound puppy.
One is Buzz Light Year costume. I am posting picture of Romeo wearing it.
Wishing all sweet dreams
