Morning hens,
So sorry I did not see Cindi's post yesterday until this morning. Such sad news.
Cindi I am so sorry Hun.
I went to spend the entire day yesterday at my brothers house. My mom was there. We all played rook all day. It was fun. Then I had to come back and pick up my son, go get sweet feed for the calves. Then took youngest skating and spent the rest of the time on the phone with dh arguing with him to get home!!! He was going to go deliver this load he has on and he wouldn't't get home til tues.! Which would really be pushing his luck!! I'm telling you he is driving me crazy with worry!!!
My 16 year old is going to a trampoline park tonight. I was stupid enough to sign the waiver for it. Now I am going to be worried sick until he is home safe again. Worried sick that he will get hurt. I can't believe I signed it. What was I thinking!!! Sometimes he catches me off guard! I really really am worried about it! I'm so stupid!!! But I'll tell you how bad I worry about stuff you guys....I'm even worried about him riding down there with a bunch of other kids and having a wreck. Will they pay attention or be cutting up in the car and have a wreck?! I worry!!!
I'll be so glad when they are grown and out of the house! I know I will still worry bit not as much.
Coffee time at last:(
Hugs

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

Kim, I am really glad that you had a good time yesterday!
I hope that you son has lots of fun tonight but is safe.
I went through that with my three adult children and was like you always worried when their friends and they started driving and doing things without me around. But it all was good after all those years. Yes I guess we as Moms are wired to always worry about our children.
The last couple of days have been really tough on me and my family. I was very close to my uncle and still can not believe he is gone.
I am feeling better this morning but at the wake tomorrow night and the funeral Mon I just have to stay strong for my Mom, Aunt and cousins.
My Moms sister and 2 of my cousins from Arizona flew in last night and I am really looking forward to spending time with them as it has been about 10 years since I have seen them!
Tonight we have a Christmas party finally with our Harley Chapter and hopefully I can hold up as I have been up since about 2am but plan on trying to take a nap if I can while Curt goes into the office this afternoon.
So how are the rest in the coop doing this morning and what plans do you have for the weekend??
Hugs to all :)
dixie, i'm so glad you had so much fun yesterday! you totally needed that. i wish there were a way to ease your worry. i don't have kids, so i don't know what that would be like. my nephew has been riding motocross since he was young and that does blow my mind, so i just prayed for his safety constantly. try to just turn it over.
cindi, i'm really sorry for your loss and your whole family's. i hope you can get a nap in and enjoy the harley christmas party.
i'm feeling better today. after hearing about all that's been going on my dr decided not to cut down on my ativan. whew. and no other bad news from labs, etc. except a few extra pounds which is no surprise since i haven't been eating well in the past 6 weeks of chaos. i'm really concerned about my cousin who lives here. she's a wife and mother and is really messing up her life. don't feel right sharing the details, but they're not good.
i hope to make some more headway in the apt today, so that i can look around and not feel stressed and cook some decent food. i hope it can make a big dent. i may be able to get my neighbor to help me. i wanted to paint and distress a couple of frames so i can put a couple of my photos in them and hang them up. we'll see how i hold up.
hugs all around!
Glad you feel a bit better Cindi, what a hard time.
Hang in there Seren, but don't do too much. Always thinking of you.
Home today from SF, boy beautiful but glade don't live there. Traffic, 30 miles in 3 hours. We spent the night half wY home. Nice dinner and great bed. It is only 4 here now, but I am tired. Not use to go, go, days.
I need advice/ help. Mom was Okyed for knee replacement. I am worried. She loves her wine at night, so far only two glasses, but with pain pills, I worry. Then I told her it would give her another 20- 30 years, she said " ugh". I was joking and said 15. She said. " I don't want to live that long". Isn't that the idea behind the surgery?? I am stressed and due down there next weekend, any help much appreciated.
Get evening to all
Loving hugs.
Janie I'm sorry Hun, what's your question? Are you talking about maybe your mom sounding depressed? Maybe she didn't really mean it. Maybe she was just talking in the moment type thing like we do sometimes? Is that what your talking about?....your moms comment about not living long? If it is and your really concerned about it maybe you need to have a talk with her and tell her that her comment concerns you and ask her if she is feeling depressed. Maybe she is and needs to see a Dr. A good chat might be in order. Good luck. I hope she didn't really mean it.
I know sometimes we are just tired in the moment and say things.
Well my son did not go to the trampoline park. I'm so glad. One of the kids that was driving bailed. David couldn't drive his truck because the tires are not good enough and the heater doesn't work. I did feel bad for him and offered to take him but he didn't want his mom to take him so..... Fine with me!
Glad your feeling better today serenity. Hope you haven't over done it on your apartment and your still doing ok this afternoon.
Sweet dreams everyone
I am so at a crossroads right now. I am the worst about putting things off but I never thought how disappointed I would be to put off my eye surgery. It's not that big of a deal but I have really been looking forward to getting it over with and being able to see clearly again.
After having this flu kicked my butt with all the fever and coughing the nurse told me I needed to let her know by Monday if we are going to do this on Tuesday. I don't know for sure if I can do it then. I don't want to show up at the Surgery Center at 4 am and have them send me home. It wouldn't be fair to anyone.
But I did have DH go to the bank today to get the checks just incase. But I think to be on the safe side I will wait until NEXT Tuesday. But of course it was still all my fault that I didn't remember that Monday is MLK day and all the banks are going to be closed. But I just said, dh.......I am waiting until next Tuesday. And right now the D in DH is not standing for dear. I just hope that the surgery center is open on Mon. when I call so they will know I'm not coming in.
Kim, so great you had a good time today with Mom at your brothers house.
Girl, when you have teenagers, there is not a minute of relief from worry. Just settle in and it will all be over soon. lol Sounds like you are doing a wonderful job. Keep up the great work as "hands on" never fails.
Cindi, again so sorry for your loss. I am sure you will be strong for you Mom on Monday. And I hope you were able to have a bit of fun for your Christmas Party. I didn't know you were a bike rider.....you go girl. :-)
Seren, Glad you were able to keep your Adivan dose. Sorry about your cousin. I hope things get better for her. And good luck with your progess on the apt. I'm sure it will all come together soon.
Janie, Does your Mom live alone? Hey, trust me. I am dealing with a 93 year old MIL and an 86 year old Mom. They all make those rediculous comments. You just ignore it and carry on with what you need to do. They are like children.......they need our attention at all times. And I think they really do like it when you put your foot down and say, "this is how it is going to be". It is finally working for us. :-)
Hugs and clucks for a great weekend.
