Morning...

I liked having no plans when I first had surgery, but now I feel worse if I have no reason to get my act together.

Yesterday one of my long time clients called...she cancelled her appointment with a stylist I had set her up with and is coming here today. She claimed that the other one missed spots with her color and can't cut her hair evenly. For crying out loud...I sent her to someone I worked with when I first got out of school and she's a wonderful colorist! But my client would rather drive 10 miles out of town to have me do her hair in my house.

Now I need to get loosened up and do a bit of cleaning before she arrives at 1:00! It's going to feel good to earn some money...just as my tenant is going to be moving.

So...that's pretty much my plan for today.

Hi Dixie and cherry

Its been such a long time since ive been here! I got real low and i needed to just sit quietly in the corner, you know how it is.

Weve had lots of rain here today, its just gone 4 in the afternoon and the sun has finally come out.
Ive been dusting on the top of the wardrobes in the bedroom today, wow, one of those places that i should really do more regular, lol.

so sorry to read about your husband dix, prayers are with you, i feel like there's loads ive missed and to be honest i haven't got the time to read every post to catch up, so please forgive me for not knowing the latest on every one.

Ive missed you all and thought of you often, but i had to distance myself for some time.

Omgosh Emp it's so good to hear from you!!!! We have really been worried about you! So osprey you've had a hard time but completely understand. Hugs honey...so glad you checked in with us. We've missed you too!!

Empathy just to see your face is good. I understand the quiet time . Still don't like to think of the heartache it brings to such a sweet Hen.

Cherry we women know who we need for our hair. I am glad you will be able to take care of your client. Sorry to hear you are loosing your renter. Hope another isn't far behind. Have you had snow yet?

Dix Walmart is always a good place to kill a few hours if you want. Don't know if yours is a superstore. I bet you find something to get into. Reading a good book always takes me away from everything going on around me.

I am putting on a pot of beans and making some cornbread. In between I will read and do a load of laundry.
Yesterday I went back to my old stylist. She refreshed my color and gave me a new style. Light and easy.
Removed a lot of bulk. Layered it. I think best think for the damage my hair has from med change.

late to the party again. dixie, hope you can relax today. cherry, you are good clearly, so i understand her wanting to go out of her way to have you do it (plus you bake!). empathy, it's so good to see you check in. hope you can come back more. hippy, that sounds soooo good. i want to do that, but i have to get through other things before i can cook again.

since i woke up i've been on the phone catching up with friends and my mother (and doing research for her). i had a great photo of my parents that i gave to my dad in a nice frame last christmas, but it was stolen at the nursing home, so the rest of the day i've been going through old photos b/c i don't seem to be able to get off the heating pad today, it's so cloudy and cool. i found a few, but not a copy of that one. i hope he'll like the collage. i also found one of those pool days i'm going to post - wow, i was so intent (and thin!).

Dix, did my plans. Changed sheets and did very little.
I think a touch of the flu hit me again. I am getting tired of this. I'll watch he game and wait for hubby. No deer for him. They say they give out too many tags. He met more people on the mountain then in town, haha.
Well, off to cook some soup and pretend I am ok, when hub comes home.
