I have the husband a contractor here too and it take forever to get fixes done!
I guess he know i'll forget about it as time goes by!

hahaa, my dad was a developer. couldn't/wouldn't change a light bulb. i learned early how to do everything from snake a drain to build a bookcase. just wish my body would cooperate =0!

LOL. And add another contractor to the mix. Had two guy's show up today to replace a rotted board on the fascia. I never noticed it............but the contractor did. :-}

Usually when there is light maintenance here....I do it.

I've always loved the saying as it is so true here..............The cobbler's children need a new pair of shoes.

I hate relying on others, if its wallpapering, painting, filling cracks, tiling, grouting, flat pack furniture, laying carpets, changing a plug, adding a longer lead to an electrical appliance, putting a shelf up, some woodwork, like making a stool a tv shelving unit and shoe rack.....
I'll do it myself!

Empathy, you sound just like a friend of mine. She's taken on projects that I wouldn't have a clue how to start!

A few years ago, one of my sons looked at a certain area of my house and said, 'Mom, don't you think it's time you dated a carpenter for a while?'.

My Dad was an attorney and he did more around the house then DH!
Go figure.
I agree Cherry, i do it myself, but then he comes and sees if i did it right!
