I'm sitting here at the Dr. Office in so much pain, just trying not to cry. (How embarrassing that would b!) And I'm thinking and worrying about what I'm going to do when dh has to go to Memphis for surgery and he will be there for two weeks! Can you just see me down there in really bad pain...desperately needing to lay down and can't because of visitors or such. I'm really scared. I need to be able to take care of my husband. I need this pain to ease up!!! I'm already under stress but will be even more so while I'm at Memphis knowing I have left my kids back home. The youngest will be jumping around between my moms, dh's mom and my SIL's house. It's my stupid pain that has been so bad on a daily basis that has me so worried. Ugh.....just whinning....sorry
We are at Jackson. I'm going to go ahead and take another pain pil in hopes of feeling better because dh needs to run and errand while we r here and wants to take me to lunch and we need to stop at Office Depot.
He has not had a break from the pain . The first two weeks were suppose to get worse because the radiation aggrevates the tumor and causes it to inflame....but then the 3rd and 4th weeks were suppose to ease up and then the 5th and 6th get bad again. He has had no relief what so ever. I am worried the tumor isn't shrinking and we won't know for two more weeks. I feel so bad for him. I wish it had been me instead of him. I'm already sick and a basket case...it wouldn't have mattered.
Then he went to send a driver to pick up a load yesterday and the computer went out on the truck so it wouldn't start. It's going to cost $3500.00 to fix it!! Ridiculous!!

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

The wait and stress have to be awful.
Gentle hugs.
PS. Christmas cards sound nice, I just ordered mine today. I did not get to sending any out last year.
Also they make a heating pad or warming blanket that plugs into car charger.
Love, prayers and hugs,
Linda
Just because your grown up, doesn't mean you cant cry, and to be honest i think with all your going through it would be perfectly normal to cry and worry, as my counselor once said, "I'd be more concerned if a person didn't worry or get upset" "because that isnt normal!"
I know you dont think it possible, but i do believe that we get strength to get through the worst of times when we are at our lowest ebb.
Hugs
i'm very sorry about the truck, too.
sending out continued prayers for you both and your boys. many hugs!
