Morning Hens,
We got a good inch or more of sleet and ice last night and now have a good i1-1/2" of snow this morning. I will not be going anywhere if I can keep from it! Sure is pretty though. Good day to craft:)
How is everyone today? What are your plans for the week?
I have non. Zip zero. Thinking seriously about applying for disability. I've put it off for years. I know I need to....just so hate to. But it's kind of on the radar for this week. Dh is suppose to have his first IV chemo treatment tomorrow. Takes 3 to 3-1/2 hours. I sure dread that! I hope they have internet service. I need to be entertained a little. It will be an intolerable long 3 hours if we just have to sit there and twitter our thumbs!!
Hope you all have a good day.

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

I am sorry that I have not been around for a few days but severe pain is about all I can handle and just do not feel like sharing sometimes.
Kim, I agree that you should try for SSD.
I applied in July of 2010 and got it within 6 weeks. I know that many have to wait longer but of what you are going through I think that it is the time to get it all started.
Best wishes from me that Ts treatment goes well and most hospitals have internet to do things on you computer or tablet.
Not much to say today but I hope and pray that we can get though all of this crap one day at a time!!
Hugs to all...
We are about like Kim here minus the snow. Last night in the dark I thought snow but turned out to be sleet.
Called this morning to cancel appointment for today and one for early tomorrow. Both offices closed due to inclement weather. Left water going light stream to keep pipes from freezing since wind chill was to bring us down 1 below zero. At 3Am our power went out and I went back to sleep sure we wouldn't have water but sometime before I got up it came back on and we are good on our pipes. Life is fun when you get that good old well .
Kim I think yes you should start that process for SSI. Hope the weather will allow you out tomorrow for T's treatment. Maybe take a book just in case. That is along time to wait.
Cindi good to see you and understand it is hard when lots of pain. I am with you getting through one day at a time.
hugs to the hens
Kim, it does sound very cold there. It's 39 here and we are freezing. :-) Hubby told me it's suppose to rain tomorrow and get in the 30's. I so hope it doesn't happen until I have my (hopefully) last eye appointment. I still can't see in the rain but I'm beginning to think I need new windshield wipers. It better be that.....I spent waay to much money on these new eyes.
It does sound like a nice day to stay in and craft and just enjoy seeing the snow without having to get out in it.
I pray your Dh does not have difficult time with his first IV chemo treatment, and there is internet service for you. 3 or more hours is a very long time. Yet 3 hours uninterrupted, I would love it and finally finish this book I started 3 months ago. :-)
You really should think about applying for disability and I doubt they would turn you down. It may take a while but it would be worth it in the long run. My friend keeps telling me to do it but not having a doc that understands my eating anxiety disability will really make it difficult for me. Long story for another time.
Cindi, so sorry for the pain you are going through. But whenever you want to come around and share, we are all here for you, dear hen.
Hippy, so sorry you lost power it must have been freezing for sleep. But so good that your pipes didn't freeze and you had water in the morning.
Wishing everyone a warm and painfree Tuesday.
Hugs!
Dixe, hope hubby does well with cemo. Wish I had none, zip to do here
Cindi, so sorry your pain is what it is.
Hippy, no. Power, snow and an early darkness, fun when I was young!
Sitting with the Mom now and waiting for her surgery tomorrow. I hope we both Get some sleep. I head home Wednesday as SIL is taking mom in for the recovery. God bless her!
Hugs to all.
Same for you Carly as you head off to eye doctor.
