When I saw this quote it made me realize that I need to start making the best of what opportunities come my way instead of seeing everything as a chore.....which is what I tend to do with cp. when ever anything comes my way I have the habit of automatically dreading it. Bad bad habit. Sad when you can't enjoy life as much with cp but the least I could do is try first, regret later....at least then I would have 'some' happy times in my life. Make sense?

Its all about breaking that negative thinking pattern, negative thinking can and does become a habit.
So easy to see what you dont have, rather than what you do have.
Do you remember that mason jar idea you had at the beginning of the new year? If anything good happened, even the smallest thing, to put it in the jar and at the end of the year, you have a whole list of good things that happened that year. I kept thinking about it, ive had nothing to add, now i do!

I do have the jar on my dresser and I have three pieces of paper in it:) I'm just putting special things that happen in there.....but think how fun they will be to read on Christmas Day! Glad you started one too Empathy.

I'm guilty of feeling negative about my whole life. Since this sudden progression of leg pain, I find it hard to feel positive about the future. I guess I need to look for little things throughout the day...moments of joy that might make me smile.

I had a color client this afternoon who happens to be one of my favorites. She's smart and funny and loves the dogs. Seeing Ricky on her lap...even through the shampoo and cut...was very sweet. Is that too small to put in a jar?

Nothing is too small to put in the jar cherry. Maybe add what youwere feeling or why the moment was special to you.

I agree a jar is a great idea. Today was bad, but it did give me a few smiles and they are going in the Jar!

Hi all, I love that quote! Since my life is the never ending story when it comes to medical issues, I have firmly come to believe in using positive denial. If I didn't use positive denial I would be depressed most of the time. Instead I have taught myself to have a selective focus and I avoid anything that upsets my apple cart.
