Hi, sure has been a long time. How are you girls doing. I've been thinking a lot about the Hen House the last few days and decided to pop on and see who was here....if anyone after all this time. Lol.
I'm not doing much. Still crafting. Still fighting fibro but I think I'm actually doing a little better these days.
How was your Thanksgiving? Christmas is lurking.....who has their shopping done? I have my granddaughters bought but can't think what to get my boys or my husband.
I'll check back in on a daily basis for a while and see if anyone is still around. Sure hope to hear from some of you girls!
Love and Hugs,
Dixie

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. Its very quiet in here, carly has popped in with me on occasions.
We dont have thanksgiving so that was just a normal day at work for me.
Christmas.... Ive made a good start, spent too much already. Boys and men so difficult to buy for. Im still waiting to see what my son would like.
Ive been to work today. I have a headache and i'm tired. I'm also fed up with the fact that ive gone deaf in 1 ear. Its happened before so i'm hoping its going to clear eventually.
Hope to see you again
Sandra
Boys really are hard to buy for! I was shopping g for my boys at the last min. Last year.
I can't even decide if I'm going to cook this year for Christmas. My MIL has everyone for Christmas dinner at her house Christmas day. Are you cooking?

Empathy when I want to relax i always close my eyes and think of your lovely blue fence and garden. Hope mum and dad are doing as well as they can. Busy time coming for you with holidays.
Dixie nice to hear your cheerful voice in writing. Who needs to cook Christmas when mother-in law will. Just hang some mistletoe and forget the tree. Here we have mistletoe up in trees. You just need sharp shooter to shoot it down. We don’t even own a gun. Maybe I can talk my elderly uncle to come from Missouri with his shotgun. This is the one who tried to shoot a snake my aunt is frightful of snakes. They staked it out all day and in the end the snake took cover under a lilac bush. My uncle got the oil saved from replacing oil in farm elemements and burned that beautiful lilac down to get the snake. It must be said my uncle had fallen several weeks from that time from the the bucket of his John Deere while trying to trim a tree and had a broken shoulder and wrist. His aim wasn’t so good. You know the saying “happy wife, happy life”.
No shopping yet. Grandgirls hard and I have been told straight from their mouths no gift cards or $$$. Now my boyo, he is easy a nerf vest for his ammo and games for his Xbox and maybe an Xbox game card.
I say guys are ten times easier than females. I thought I missed out on having a daughter but the good Lord sure blessed me when he gave me two sons.
XOXO
Still hippy
There is a way to post pictures on our posts but I don’t know how.
I bet your uncle is a character, I would love to meet him.
I too was blessed with boys but always found it hard to buy for them. My boys didn't even care about clothes.
