Morning Hens,
I am excited! It's suppose to start warming up as of today. I'm so ready for aummer!! Not spring, nope, I'm ready to skip straight to summer!
My youngest turned 14 today. He's planning on having a friend over for the weekend. He got a new phone for his birthday.
We went last night to look at a 96 dodge truck for our 16 year old. Dh bought it. We are hoping it motivates him. He has to get a job and make his insurance payment and pay his own gas and of course pay us back a little ea. mo. For the truck. He is super excited of course:)
Not sure yet what I am going to do.
What's on your agenda?

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

I had some crazy dreams last night. I can't put my finger on anything, but it was wild. I like to analyze my dreams, esp. with friends. I get lots of insight that way. Sometimes the dreams are just too nuts to figure.
I hope all have a good Friday.
Heather
Kim, Proud of your son, but I know I will be nervous when the driving time comes, sigh. Is DH's mess still driving you crazy?
Heather, rest and fluids.......or there is always voo doo, lol.
Just some light cleaning for me today and rest. Have another night out coming tomorrow. My friend Julie is coming home for a couple of days before being stationed in Colorado and she just made Captain. So we are having a party for her. Looking forward to it, but gonna miss her. Still not sure what possessed her to up and join the Airforce at 42. She went straight into officer training. At least she isn't fighting, she is a doctor.
Hope everyone has a good day. Sending hugs, love, and comfort.

Aww, happy birthday Dixie's son, i hope he has a lovely day!
My son isn't interested in driving as yet, so i haven't got that worry at the moment!
In America it seems part of the school cirriculam?
Its not here, you learn to drive and take lessons when you want to, as long as your 17 to apply for a provisional.
heather, hope you feel better soon : ) medicines (if your taking them) have lots of colourings in them which can make you dream vividly.
solace, enjoy the party!
Ive been food shopping for the week, hubby had to come so he could push the trolley around!!
Then he had to carry it in from the car!
The cough has stopped, i wonder if it was because my nose was blocked and i used some nasal drops guess they could have dried out my passage's to much, hence the dry cough.
hugs
heather, i'm so sorry you have such a terrible bug or whatever. too much to deal with and CP.
tonna, have fun!
emapthy, i'm hesitant to use nose sprays for that reason. i have a saline spray if i must. i have sinus issues, so i usually massage my face with warm water and that gets them flowing.
i did a lot more than expected yesterday and didn't have great sleep, so i'm just going to see how the day unfolds. i slept late and didn't take a morning walk yet. i just feel off today, but not terrible. just weird. so we shall see.
Wow...two birthdays so close together. That gets expensive, but at least it's once a year and it's over in a short time. I hope your older son is able to find a job and keep up with his responsibilities. There's nothing like a vehicle to motivate a teenager! When one of my son's was first driving, but didn't have a vehicle, he'd borrow mine when I could spare it. I would leave for work with a list of chores I wanted done by the time I got back. If he had done them, he got my car for the evening. I got more help around the house during that period of time than ever before or since!
Heather...since we've already chatted for hours this morning, I don't think I have anything left to say! lol
Tonna...you party girl! It's so great to hear about your outings after such a long time of isolation.
Empathy...don't you love having a packmule along when you go shopping? I hate lifting things and dragging them in the house when I know it's probably just going to make me hurt. I'm glad you're healing well.
I have booked my clients for mid and late afternoon so my patch will have several hours to start kicking in. Every other day I go through this bologna. Next week I go back to the Rheumy to get the test results from my first appt.. I'm afraid to get my hopes up...been disappointed too many times. Anything has to be better than living like this so I'll try to be cautiously optimistic.
I hope everyone has a nice day. Try to notice the little things around you that give joy.
Hugs and clucks...
Happy Birthday Dixie's son. My boy's are five days apart and I always combined their parties until they became teenagers. Poor fellows always had to share a cake. Bet your oldest is in heaven having his own wheels.
Heather I hope you loose that flu soon. The sinus thing is miserable. Glad you at least have some sunshine.
Serenity don't you just hate those off days? Those are the days your body is saying step back, rest and sort it out. Some fresh air might help if it is warm enough.
Tonna enjoy your party. I think what your friend is doing is awesome,
Empathy good the cough is gone. It must have hurt badly to cough with the incisions. I am sort of laughing at the pack mule thing. Since my spine started crumbling my husband carries everything and he often refers to himself as my mule.
I am sick. Started last night before I went to bed. Thought it might not be anything but this morning it is clearly what the 5 year old grandson had. Poor fellow if he felt the way I do. My stomach is cramping so bad. I am drinking weak tea instead of my normal coffee. Then I am also sad because one of my special friends was supposed to come visit for the weekend and we were going to go to a beautiful garden nearby. We have been planning this for sometime. So disappointed and sick.
love and clucks
hippy
