Up early here.
Headed to moms in a bit. She tweaked her back so going to help her or a few days. I am still feeling the flu, but she needs help and as long as this has gone on I'm sure I'm not contages.
So enjoy the long day and weekend. I'm waiting for my coffee hoping it will help this gurgel feeing.

Today is a day of wins and losses of epic proportions. Yesterday I took my assistant into my office and we talked at length about a current problem and I instructed him on where he went wrong. Then I continued further and we talked about his work the last 3 months and the differences in the way that he works and the way that I work and some things that concern me, because his probation is up next week. Long story short.....I said what I needed to say, effectively. He conceeded that I was the manager and I needed to hear him say that. It ended very positive and I rescinded my recommendaiton for dismissal. I wrote to the higher powers that he was still a character, but was eager to improve, but we were all well aware of his strange outbursts and I could not be responsible for anything bizarre that he does in the future.

I got emails from the bosses saying how well I handled this and glad that this came to such a good outcome. I feel like I've climbed a mountain that I didn't think I could climb. I feel satisfied inside.

But the real hard part of today is that last night my little old dog, Julio has took a turn for the worse again. Last week, my vet said that she thought Julio would be okay for much longer, but I was up all night with her as she shook. This being after the pain meds. I decided I am buying her the odd good day and that is not fair to her. I am working from home today and going to call and ask the vet to put my sweet girl to rest. I don't need to tell the pet owners how hard this is.

Such is life.

Angela I'm so sorry about Julio. My heart goes out to you. It's such a hard thing to do yet we can't see them suffer so either. Hugs and love.

Dixie i already consider its spring tho not officially, for me spring is march, so spring started on the 1st.
and no with the snow weve had, it doesnt seem like spring, tho the daffodils in the garden look nice: )
