i have to get out today for some real necessities (TP for one!). i'm going to try to keep it as light as possible. i took a little walk in my down coat to clear my sinuses but i'm just not feeling energetic or motivated!

Ya'll I am so upset over Dixie right now! I can't get her to drink at all. I'm giving her pain medicine and it doesn't seem to be working at all. I'm scared to take her to the vet... There's really nothing more they can do for her than what I'm already doing. I'm already balling my eyes out! I just can't lose two pets so close together. No the truth is I don't think I can stand to lose Dixie! If she doesn't drink today she is going to be dehydrated. I'm just sick

I've been hurting for days and just going through the motions to get by.

This is breaking my heart. IV fluids will help for a few days if it's possible. I know your pain and fear. I lost my bf BJ of 15 yrs not long ago.

With you. I hope she will drink some water. If you have an eye dropper wonder if you could use that. I am not sure what animals need but wonder if a little diluted Pediolyte would help in eye dropper. This is what we give our grands when they have stomach virus.

I went through the same exact thing with my precious Shi-tzu, August was his show name, but we called him Augie. They are the best puppies ever.....but they do have "issues". We loved that little guy so much but when he could not eat or drink anymore and the shots didn't help........I think we did the right thing.

It horrible to say, but my DH and I both agreed that we were wishing that we would wake up and Augie would have gone to doggie Heaven. It didn't happen.........so we did what the Vet recommended. I think of that little guy everyday.

Gosh we are all losing our loving pets lately. Makes on so sad and empty. We lost three just last year. Tears and smiles remembering them. A suggestion read "a dogs purpose". Made me smile and cry.
