Hey buddies
I just need to talk and I'm not so bad for the suicide prevention line. You know, the inbetween stage. A sympathetic witness. I had to take time off of work and I always feel defeated when I have to do that but I just couldn't break the cycle with my regular routine. Back to back migraines for weeks and chasing pain with meds and this morning my face was swollen and I felt like I hadn't slept. I stood in the doorway, all dressed up and just couldn't leave the house so I called in sick and used my precious personal days. I slept until noon and still felt exhausted.
It was my son's day off and he helped me get groceries. He's a growing young man and eats a lot. We sat outside after and he said that he got his strong work ethic from his father....I felt so deeply hurt. His father. Not his single mother who cared for him and his brother 100%of the time with little resources and never gave up and worked sometimes 2 jobs regardless of chronic pain and got him through school, etc. So what do I say to that? Do I cut down his father? Of course not.
Another migraine surges it's ugly head before the day is out and I just don't feel like eating again. I don't have anyone that I want to burden with this because I don't want to see the look of concern on their face, but I feel so isolated. Most of the day I worked on a writing project, but I can only do that for so long. I need distraction to get me through this and I need people but people who are strong enough to handle my pain are in short supply.
Sometimes this disease is so hard to deal with when I'm so exhausted like this and alone, it's just, you know. I do feel better for talking about it to you guys though because I know you get it and you've been here. After this posting I'm going to meditate and say some prayers and go to bed. Tomorrow is a new day and today was a bad day is all.
Thanks for being here.

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. i'm sorry you had to use to personal day, but i've been there dressed at the door and couldn't summon the strength.
migraines are hell on wheels and i don't deal with them daily.
hope you feel better, dear enigma. big hugs n lotsa hope for better days. <3
But do you know what else young sons do? Say things without thinking it through!
Ive no doubt that you have played a HUGE role in your sons life. Your a fantastic mum and will continue to do so.
Dont doubt yourself over one statement by a young, learning, young man.
The in-between stage of depression, yes i'm stuck there myself. Life is too hard to live, always wishing it was over, or that i was never born, but not at that level where your in danger and reaching for the pills.
My counselor called it functioning depression. A person can be depressed but still able to function on some level.
You may not have made it into work, but overall, the bigger picture of your life, your strength of character is strong. You said it yourself, you, his single mother who cared for him and his brother 100%of the time with little resources and never gave up and worked sometimes 2 jobs regardless of chronic pain and got him through school.
Huge hugs

You are so right, Dix. That must be it that he wants to bond with his father in this instance. He certainly isn't doing it to hurt me. I'm just feeling down and if I wasn't it wouldn't have hurt so bad.
Functioning depression...yep, thats a good word for it.
Glad you finally acknowleged your mother, Serenity
Thanks sweeties. big hugs
