Card games uses to be a big thing to get together on the weekends to do:) I remember my parents every weekend going to my aunt and uncles to play rook and us kids playing outside in the dark.
The free towel in the Spic n Span box. The oleo pillow with the color button, walking 1.5 miles to school, listening to Inner Sanctum on the radio in the dark and getting scared silly.

i can still hear the click click click of a rotary dial phone and knowing every number and answering the phone politely as a child. playing in the creek and woods til dark with the neighborhood kids.
i was the family tv guide and channel changer - it worked together. tin foil on the antenna....
