dixie, that does sound like a dream day to me, too!

yesterday the meeting went very well. afterward we took dad out to early bird dinner and it was apparent that he no longer has a grasp of reality. it was a very upsetting trial getting him back into the nursing home the required several nurses and aides and some ativan. my mother was heartbroken, so i'm staying with her another couple nights. she needs some pampering.

Serenity I'm glad your meeting went well. Heartbreaking about your dad though, I'm sure it is so hard for you and your mom to see him decline that way. I'm so sorry. Glad your able to stay with your mom an extra couple of days. Your a blessing to her.

I was just about to start the Saturday thread. I have no plans either, but my parents have gone on holiday with my big sis and we have the house to ourselves WHOOPIE!!!
When i am up and about for a bit my foot starts to ache, so i do a little here an there. Bit worried about how much its going to ache wednesday and thursday and i'm on my feet for 6 hours!
Its starting to go yellow and the swelling has gone.

Dix, So glad you enjoyed your shopping trip.. sounds exhausting! You need to rest : ) Did you ever make friends with your physio? the one who liked art?

seren, glad the meeting went well, will you hear an out come of that meeting in due course? So sad a nice dinner out ended watching your dad struggle in that way, i can only imagine how upsetting it is. Will it mean no more dinners out?

Empathy when you have to go to work wrap your foot in one of those stretch bandages to give it extra support those days. Maybe that will help. Then as soon as you get home rest rest rest!

No my therapist never called so we lost touch.

thanks, pals. yes, it will probably mean no more outings. we can bring dinner to him there and try to have privacy...he's so paranoid. just so hard on my mother most of all.

empathy, woo hoo on having the house to yourselves. i'm with dixie. a compression bandage like ACE bandage will help. and staying off it as much as possible.

dixie, maybe one more try to reach that physio just to check in. maybe she's shy, too. a crafty pal right there would be so nice!

it is going to be going down to 0 over night ....that is going to really be hard on the gradin .....I went to the dentist today ...satin the chair at 10:30 didn't get out till 1:15 ....one bathroom break .....and had to frizz me again half way through ... I am so happy that is over ....had to get a rout canal ......and my roots weren't strait ...........so it wast harder to do ........not in to much pain .....I have something that helps the migraine and the tooth .......so now just relaxing ......it has been raining since I came home ...........dixe ..................so good to here you had such a good shopping day ...relay sounds like a lot of fun .......thank-you for your prayers ...I needed them .........................serenity ....................good to here them eating went well ......so very sorry to here about your father ...being in such bad shape ......and your mother so upset ....it was so good of you to stay with her I sure she relay needs you right now ...and you must need her to ...this must be hard on you to ...thanking you for thinking about me today and hoping all went well it ..did ..................................empathy ...................................just stay off your foot as much as possible......when you sprain your ankle you have to make sure you let it heal really good ...or you will just have problems later ....do you have to be standing for that six hours can't they get you a stool or something ......I hope it gets better ..soon thank you for the prayers I needed them .............................................have a great day tomorrow......everyone ....god bless ...

Seren, so sorry about your Dad. It is really sad when we see our parent not the same as we always knew them. I remember those days. You are a good daughter to spend time with Mom and giving her some much needed pampering.

Empathy, so great to have the house to yourself. Yea!! I think you should call all of your friends and have a party. That's what I always did when my parent were away. lol. Hope the foot is better soon. Try and stay off of it as much as you can and a could wrap might help.

Musk, that sounds like a bad day at the dentist but hopefully you are feeling better now. My dentist does not like me at all. I will sit up at the wrong time out of panic. Last root canal I had the dentist was not pleased at all that he had to start over. I always panic that my mouth is going to get stuck open. :-(

thank-you Carlyj ...actually the dentist was very good with me ..I kept moving away from him but I didn't realize I was doing it until he would tell me that I had to come closer to him ...lol ...he even thanked me for my pashance ..........that surprised me ...I think this dentist is a keeper ..I hope you find a good dentist ...or can get something to take to calm you down before you have to see the dentist ........take care ..god bless
