Hi Hens,
Well so much for getting insurance, we were getting Dh's...one of his chemo meds free, now we had to get a script and it is $2600 and the copayment is 50%! I told the girl our out of pocket had been met, well it turns out there is an out of pocket deductible on medications as well!!!
Do you honestly think those chemo meds cost that much to make or are they charging that much because they know people HAVE to have them so they can? I don't think it costs that much to make myself....I would be willing to bet on it anyway.
One of the guys was talking to my dh...where he gets the IV chemo and his was $16,000.00 per IV bag ea. visit. And he had to go 6 times like my dh. I think my dh's is $13,000.00 I have forgotten. Ridiculous!!!
Dh got home late last night. * sigh* you should see my house now???I went to bed with it clean.....got up to a hurricane.
I have to stay home all day today and wait for his pills to arrive in the mail...it's his last shipment via mail. I don't know how we are going to manage to get the last dose. The nurse said the pharmacy has a program that will help us pay our 1300.00 copay. I sure hope so!!!

75FIt is really cooler today and this will trick us into believing it will become cooler. Our hot summer will keep on aftert this week. We will not be fooled. Sandra, one of our regrets is not being able to visit Great Britain and travel for two weeks when younger. As we age we just become slower and that really takes away from travel. i've been making a packing list for the weekend at my mother's. i'm concerned b/c i'll have to take the bus with my bag and the orchid i have for her. i can't overpack! then just trying to get things in order, so penny has plenty of food and fresh water and plants are taken care of. prepping for a weekend is the same as for 2 weeks, so this takes some time. i wish i could trust a neighbor enough to come visit her, but i'm just not so sure about that. i keep waivering on my thinking about that.

Seren, my dad loves orchids, weve got four of them on the windows sills. Nice present : ) I take it your mums is too far for you to pop home to feed penny yourself? Enjoy time at your mums, is it just you visiting for her birthday?
I'm so tired from work, i didnt sleep very well last night, i dont seem to after a day at work, its like i cant unwind from the day, my brain goes into overdrive even tho i'm so tired.

Dh came home a day early from the ranch. :-( He was not coming home until Friday but the Title Company schedule a closing for him on Friday. Thanks a whole hell of alot Title Company. :-)
He did stop and eat along the way as he didn't want me to have to cook as he was not suppose to be home today. It made me feel really bad because he has such specific eating requirements for health reasons. I think he ate a Subway....probably all veggies on a bun. Who does that???
Seren, I wish you a wonderful visit with your Mom. So sorry that is such an ordeal for packing and worrying about Penny. It would be great to have a neighbor to take care. I hope Mom loves the Orchid. They are such a beautiful flower. Whenever I hear about an Orchid I think about my Grandmother who grew them. And from I understand it's not that easy to do. They do take alot of work. And did you know that they have Orchid Conventions? I have a friend who goes every year.
