Morning Hens,
I got some baby chicks yesterday. 6 little black ones. They won't stay black. I don't know what kind of chickens they are and my luck they are all roosters. I only got the to try to get Henny Penny off her nest. She will accept the chicks under her but she still will not get off the nest and the babies have to eat and drink. So now I have created work for myself. I go out in the evening and put them under her so they will stay warm at night and take them out in the morning so they can eat and drink all day.
I didn't buy any other chickens, they just didn't have any pretty ones over there. Maybe next weekend.
So what are you girls up to today? No plans here.
Dh got home at 8:30 last night.

i woke up too early, but i've finally had enough caffeine. after last night's thunderstorm, it's pretty nice today, so i'll be out on the balcony some more and playing in the kitchen.

A nice sunny morning here. After last weeks three days of rain, it's nice!
Had a busy day yesterday. Kids brought port of subs for lunch. We sat on the new deck and it was nice.
Hard day for son, as girl friend moved out. He had to leave, so he came down (45 minutes away) here.
Before he brought lunch he went to RC Willeys and bought a 60 inch flat screen tv. Priorities!
Girl friend had the nerve before he left to ask when he was coming to visit. Momma bear is in me!
He is not camping with best friend ( since kindergarten) and his family. So glad mike and family are therefor him.
Well, more work on addition today. Crockpot cooking pulled pork for tonight. I may have to figure out my veggie garden, the squirrels ate a few starts, darn varmints!

Chick are so cute, wish I could have some, but I'm afraid the dog might bug them. More work for you dixe, but hope they bring you smiles and eggs!
Enjoy your day seren. Balcony and kitchen are nice places to be. Was the thunder bad! My dog hates it, such a needy girl at times.

What Antivirus do you use?
Ive had Norton, that slowed the pc down and its a bugger to remove, so we switched to Kaspersy and that seems to be good. I went and bought mcafee for my new laptop as that was on offer, it took all morning to load and activate!

hippy has a veggie garden and said gardenias will keep them away (i think). it wasn't a horrible storm. penny runs from the thunder, too.
empathy, you do so much. please, give yourself a permission slip to take off as much as you need. you can borrow the US holiday tomorrow if you want =).
i just have my balcony area and put plants in pots.
i posted a photo of the storm and my flowers the day i planted them. i'm hoping some more will bloom soon.

I must say that I am watching a National Memorial Day Concert on TV right now. I had no idea how sad it was going to be. It is difficult to keep a dry eye. There were happy moment's, but the sad override's. :-(

Seren, I hate when I get up to early as I did today as well. But I do love a good thunderstorm as long as I am tuck away in the bed....with covers over the head. :-)
Janie, yes, kid's priorities are always off. Hopefully one day they will get it. It took mine a while but finally I think they got it. Hang in there. Hope that your Son will soon be able to be ok with the break up. He is probably better off without her. But you must be so proud that your Son would come to you for advice.
Empathy, feeling your pain. I have so many things I should be doing right now but I just don't feel up to it.
