Apologize to no one.
Remind those of our sacrifice and don't
confuse arrogance with leadership.
The count is 104,366
dead brave Americans.
And we have to watch an
American elected leader who
apologizes to Europe and the
Middle East that our country is
"arrogant"!
HOW MANY FRENCH, DUTCH, ITALIANS,
BELGIANS AND BRITS ARE BURIED ON
OUR SOIL, DEFENDING US AGAINST OUR
ENEMIES?
WE DON'T ASK FOR PRAISE ... BUT WE
HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO
APOLOGIZE!!
i know, why don't people just do a little research?! they watch fox news and think they're getting a clear picture. it's buggy. fox's main goal is to work people up into a frenzy. it's sad. when i ask people why they don't dig a little deeper they say they don't have time; but then they have time to watch american idol, get their nails done and have their hair dyed, etc etc.
No need to apologize Marty, We are just discussing the importance of the country. I think instead of agreeing or disagreeing everyone should throw in their 2 cents worth.
I think the State of the Union address tonight was strong. A little long, but he has a clear plan.
Quasar, I think it was a relative of Bush that worked in the news department. Remember when Gore was projected the winner on several networks, then GW's cousin announced GW as the next President? It caught them by surprise and they announced GW . They should have waited for an official result.
it's our culture to look for someone to blame.........He nor any of the others are to blame. it is our congress who elects to allow these things to happen. i haven't the solutions or i would be up there waving my wand......In the end it has naturally came to the point noone is really safe anymore.
If you think you are, go to a third world country and walk up and down the street waving an american flag. Yet due to freedom if you are a foreigner you can come here and do that very thing.
I don't know if it is culture or human nature (instinct) that causes us to blame. I've been doing it my whole life. Started when I was a child. SHE spilt the milk, HE beat me up, THEY stole the candy. I always had an excuse LOL
Hey, it's still working for me today : )
You are right about the flag. After 9-11, all the countries were behind us, but after we invaded Iraq without the UN blessings or a NATO force, they turned on us. I can't really blame them. Some countries are still Pro America, but usually it's the ones we are defending.
yeah.............At the time............
It's ashame in a way because we will jump to someones defense even if they have wronged our country in the past....... In turn innocent people get caught up in the crossfire so to speak and you have to blame it on someone. Yet they would rather run thru their own streets throwing rocks or pipe bombs etc...... and they are perfectly happy.......because it's holy........ Our worst decisions are when we intervene.......but our nature is to help.......
You got that right. We stick our nose where it doesn't belong all of the time.
Now, I am glad we are in Haiti. United States citizens are generous. But we should get the military out ASAP. We don't need anyone saying we are occupying Haiti, or trying to run their country. When they get the work done they should come home and let the non military workers stay.
As far as the blowing yourself up in the name of being Holy, that group is so fanatical and they really don't have anything to loose. If you read the Koran or know someone who does, they will tell you it is a lot like reading the bible. There is a lot of good in it. But like the bible, some try to use it to explain their own ideals. Like where it talks about handling snakes, and Mema went and did it. Thats crazy. But in the Koran, they use other terms like jihad, war in the name of God (Ali). But they used that in the wrong way as well. It doesn't mean that at all.
