Good morning Circle friends. I hope it's ok that I start today as I've been up since 5:30 (Atlantic time) and keep checking but no post yet.
My trip to town yesterday was horrible. Before I left the house my knee gave out on me so I was hobbling from the start. We didn't do much shopping but each store got worse and worse until both knees were in pain, and no cane! Thank God for shopping carts. I had to take the cart out to the car with me at the last store even though I only had one small bag. Cooking supper last night was pure torture. I just get so frustrated and feel like I'm just making it through each day.
Do you feel like you are thriving or just surviving? At this point I am just surviving. I do hope that somehow, someday life won't be so hard. Tell us how you manage our just share whatever you want.
Peace and hugs,
ssLisa

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

Hello everyone. Yes, I'm still here. Have been dealing with depression and self worth issues. My husband has been taking his anger out on me. Nothing physical. But, mental can be just as bad.
Sharing here because I have found this a safe and encouraging place to do so.
I want to thank everyone for that assurance.
Wow,bliss. I don't go anywhere without my walker any more. My power chair if I know it's going to be far to walk. At least you still get out for shopping.
That's one of my depression/self esteem issues tight now. I am home bound most the time. Having even the smallest "going out" privileges can be devastating.
Sorry to be such a downer today.
Looking forward to hearing about everyone else's day!!
SSLisa, I can't read most of your post
I'm sorry I hope you are alright and have a nice day
Mary, I sure get the self worth issues and depression
Me, still feeling a lot like Mary.
Today I have a couple of dr appointment s
Therapist and my heart guy this afternoon
Over the part year I've done fairly well
But lately I've been having more chest pain
Oh well trying to be tough
Wishing all the best
Michael
I love it when someone starts early.
We have a new manager, at the moment as useless as a chocolate tea pot. Sits in the office all day, doesnt help out on the shop floor like previous managers. So today one of the days i work its been hard work trying to get through all we are supposed to.
I'm cream crackered.
This is how i sum up life....
Life is a pathway of drudgery towards oblivion.
Its still a life tho.
I try and focus on the simple little things that i'm grateful for

Lisa sorry your day was so hard. It can be hard to see the light through the darkness! Remember our old grateful journals can be a guiding light. You are always welcome to start us off.. Thanks
Mary not a downer, but trusting and it's appreciated. Mental abuse can be the worse!
Good luck with your appointments today Mike. I'm always grateful you have such a great team of doctors working with you.
Empathy I think I met my match with words idioms! Sorry for the new manager. I worked retail many years and went through many idiots!
Got my mammogram yesterday and drove straight to it. So much for my worries! I'm going to have to go back to keeping my trips shorter though. Way too much on hands and legs.
Need to pick up script today and dread going out in the cold.
Namaste...xoxo
Mary-you are worthy and we thank you for being here.
Michael-You have been missed and happiness is seeing you back! Hopeful the ticker will be ok.
Empathy-I wish to lift your pathway with the thought that love seeing your post and colloquilisms from the Mother Land of my grandfather.
Empathy posted video of the exact way I do feel inside myself. Thank you.
Taking a deep breath and internal sadness for another death by gunman, 12 in a California bar and some were actually at another mass shooting. My day is now reflecting on what I value and hopefully the people important to me will know that so that means there will be a few texts as my friends/family know the phone/ears is not my friend. Of course I do call my parents even thought Mom at almost 92 texts everyday!
The river is so still as to reflect the dock and homes. The sky is a gentle reminder that we do need clouds, we do need rain or otherwise we would be living in a desert. A contemplative day.
Pain is an indicator I am still alive and have an unfinished life.
PEACE
hello MaryT. most of my problems stem from self hatred, and torturing myself with self harm. i feel your pain. ive learned that emotional abuse can be more damaging at times, it stays in your head making you think everything is your fault. someone breaking you down hurts my heart as i know the damage it causes.
howdy Mike, its a pleasure having you back, thats for sure. i hope depression takes a hike for you as well. i ope the heart doctor can shed some light oon this chest pain youre having.
hello Empathy, sad to hear this boss is a joke. nothing like busting your a$$ while he sits cowardly and lazy in that office. i love an early start of the day too. focusing on the good things certainly makes getting thru the day possible. thanks for the you tube clip.
i have to take a few days to recoup from a busy week. we might do a load, scotts working dilegently on one of the websites he hosts while i loose myself in my programs that i enjoy. dinners already made, thank goodness.
wheres our Serenity? Moon good job on handling all that packing. Looking forward to hearing about your outing Toni. mad love for you all.
frost on everything my bong water that i keep in the woodshed was frozen! the news went ahead and said that "S" word in the forecast (Snoooow) YIKES!!!
Mary - mental abuse is abuse and affects us terribly. I lived with a mentally abusive husband for 20 years, if you ever want to chat I'm here for you.
Mike, sorry you couldn't read my post. Are you reading on a phone? The first post is always difficult for me as it's all squeezed over on the right side. I'll try to remember to space it out more if I start again, might make it easier. Good luck at your appointment.
Empathy, I love the song, great attitude to have. Some days I can, some days I just can't.
Toni, you must be glad to have that mammogram overwith. I got my appointment for one this morning - April 1 2019. Hope you have a relaxing day after getting your script. You need it.
Moonie, that is so sad. I'll never understand these kind of killings (don't really want to) so great though that your mom texts at her age. My mom hasn't gotten into it but emails regularly. I like your view on pain.
As for me I've got my rehearsal tonight so need to try to nap before making an early supper. My knees and hips are acting up some today but I found that using one of my hiking poles is better than nothing. It'll do until I can get a new cane.
Happy day to all,
ssLisa
