Last week was not a very good week for me. It was mixed with bad and good, but why does the bad always stick out more in our memories. Anyway, yesterday ended the week with two very nice blessings.
1. Remember awhile back I said that someone left a suicide note on my door. He came over yesterday to thank me for saving his life. He was in the hospital up until 3 weeks ago, but now he looks really good. He has color in his face, his eyes are clear and he is back at work. He had double pneumonia and he had taken an overdose of pills, but now he says he has his head on straight. It made me happy to see him in such a good place. I thought I would never see him again and now he wants to keep in touch. Praise God.
2. I did secure the commission for the patio cushions. I was under a false impression as to what I was getting myself into and it is going to be a lot easier than I thought. Four cushions that are 18X18 and then two pillows that are about 12X8. I love the pattern on the vinyl. It looks like snake skin only it is a very bright turquoise. It is a little hard to work with, but worth it. I had one pillow almost done within an hour of starting.
Everyone have a really good pain free, happy, warm day.

Joanne the wheelchairs take practice. I can not use a scooter because of the damage to my neck and arms. I have to look up a float home. Sounds interesting.
ME- of course I was trying to run him over. I bought him steel toed shoes. It is not my fault that he did not wear therm. LOL He tries to hang on because walking hurts for him also, but he puts his foot right under the chair. That one is his fault because he is behind me. Now when he gets in front of me, weeelllll that is a different situation :):)

Yrod- I think the other First Ladies did a lot of these things, but we treated JFK and Jacqueline like our own version of a Prince and Princess. She was young with children and dressed how she felt comfy, not like the White House suggested. She did help the Woman's movement in the fact that she was Mrs. Kennedy first, but she was independently taking on projects that she felt she could make a difference in. (Just my opinion)
Dianna- hope you get the rest that you need to recharge those little brain cells. :) Sorry you are so exhausted. Hang in there. Definitely rest up for the party. :)
