Good day all,
toni, thanks for the photo! Beautiful church. I used to sit in a Catholic Church to meditate during my lunch bc they're always open and so quiet and serene. It was next to the building I worked in.
maybe the talk will help, but I'm doubtful. Being realistic and after talking to him.
rainy here again. 60s at least.
I may get out when it stops. No real plans.
hugs n hope for whatever you do today to be satisfying!

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

I've been lazy this morning even though I've been up since 3. I started dishes and need to get them finished so I can start prepping for supper tonight. We're cooking a chicken so it's a pretty easy meal. Just lots of veggies to peel, easy peasy!
Can't stay and chat long but wishing you all a great day. It's -2C here which is much warmer than forecast. Last night went down to -18C! Even with all the heat, the house was cool at 16C until about 10 this morning. Take care, everyone. Hugs,
Nonie
Nonie, that was a cool picture on that building. Congratulations!
I love a chicken dinner, especially if its a roast.
Serenity, an easy day sunday, nice : )
I had a hoover this morning upstairs, and after lunch i had another go at sewing.
It was sunny this morning but very cold. Its clouded over now.
We had a lovely day yesterday with our son, but by the time we got home i was so tired. I napped and then we had a movie night.
Serenity-Sounds like you will have a quiet day and I hope you have a quiet night.
Noni-enjoy your chicken and veggies dinner.
Sandra-glad you had a nice lunch with your son.
I took down the self and spackled the screw holes and sanded so ready for painting. The windows are cleaned as is the wood trim and that too is ready for painting. The trim and walls will be the same color. I do need to get some KILZ to prevent the trim dark spot bleeding through. Perfection in painting is required.
Tessa and Jake will be here next Saturday as the TV stand will not arrive until Monday. This also gives me time to finish sewing the pillows, table runner and napkins.
PEACE
Dang Lisa that's a huge jump in temperature, I'd be cool too. Your meal sounds great. I've been debating whether to make some BBQ chicken soon.
Sandra did you find anything good to watch? I couldn't get into anything, I went back and forth until I drove myself whacky! I finally watched Florence Foster Jenkins it fit my mood nothing too serious. Someone who sings worse than me! Lol
My tree cutter is suppose to be back soon to finish up. I'm not worried that he won't, because he hasn't been paid. He had another guy helping him out cutting it up come to find out it was one of my neighbors cutting it for the logs. I don't have a clue where he came from.
I'm as sore as I thought I'd be moving things around yesterday. I like how it looks though. My osteoporosis crew would have a fit they're determined bones would break. I decided some time ago I'm living my life no holds back.
I'm going to Swift my floors otherwise I'll probably take it easy today. Spend half the day trying to figure out what I want to watch.
Moonie did you end up getting more snow and ice?
Carly are you going to make an appointment to get some help to sleep?
Enjoy this last day of the weekend
Peace love harmony xoxo
sandra, i'm glad you had a good day yesterday with your son (and fiance?). you do keep up with your hoovering! i don't know how you manage with those stairs.
omg, moonie, you get things done with plans in the works and then cooking on top. i bet your you're going to be ready and have a place worthy oh photos!
toni,i like that philosophy to a limit. it sounded like you did a ton of work and i hope you're happy withi where things are.
i was talking to claire this morning and she volunteered. my neighbor didn't get the folding bookcase out for me and i pulled a muscle getting my rollator in the car, so i took her up on it and we pushed a lot. i gave her food in return b/c i didn't watch the placement of the boxes and things are in the craziest places.
it wasn't such a quiet day. mother has her follow up tomorrow, so i'll go over tuesday and take her some little things i've picked up for her tuesday since my sister has claimed the medical visits. her memory is worse every week and it scares me. losing someone alive is the most heartbreaking thing.
i'm watching a dark comedy series on netfllix b/c i find dark humor amusing. i bought a few things to have around for before and after the dreaded procedure. i may see more in my bed on my laptop. p.s. my neighbor finally took the trash up to the road.
sweet dreams, my dear warriors!
Serenity, I can see how the church would be a nice place to spend a lunch hour.
I do hope that you could have a talk and it would solve some problems. I guess we will see.
Nonie, when you say you have been up since 3; does that mean that you have been up since 3 and no sleep after!?
You said you were cooking a chicken tonight. How did you cook it? Always curious. :-) But when you say easy peasy about pealing veggies that is the worst part for me. I hate the prep. but always enjoying the outcome.
It sounds really cold there. Wishing you warm weather soon.
Sandra, I had to laugh when you said you love a chicken dinner especially if it is a roast. Is that a British thing?
What are you sewing these days? And what movies did you watch for your movie night? I'm always looking for a good one.
Moonie, I have to say that I could sit in that window and watch the water all day. You are so lucky to have such a great place.
I hope you have a nice visit with Jake and Tessa. It sounds like there are many talented people sewing here.
Wishing you well with that perfection in painting.
Toni, sorry those rains are coming your way. We are having odd temps these days but they are warm temps as it is really nice. I wore a sweater two days ago and today, if I wore one I would be wearing a tank top. No one wants to see these skinny arms.
I hope your tree cutter gets it together soon. Is it just me or is it taking way too long to get the job done?
I am thinking that your osteo crew has a much valid point, BUT if you break a bone there may not be any swiffering for you for sometime.
It reminds me that when I told my dear friend that she really needed to stop traveling because every time she traveled she fell and broke something.
And then she told me that she would never stop with the travel no matter the cost of a broken leg or anything else. She would not stay home.
I guess we all look at things so different.
Yes,I do have an appt for the end of March with the doc. and that will be the first thing I bring up as in I Need Sleep!!
We cooked fish in the Air Fryer again with no problems with the breaker. I remembered to not having the counter top ice maker going. I am not a fan of the cooker as the fish was very dry. Mike loved it and that was good. But I think that it needs to cook with much less time than we did.
Sending much love and hugs to all.
xoxo
I am so sorry that you pulled a muscle. I hope you are not in too much pain. I so hope that you can get your boxes sorted soon.
I never thought about that before as you describe your mom. Losing someone still alive is the most heartbreaking thing. How true!
Enjoy your Tuesday with mom.
xoxo
The lights are going off.
