Your trip yesterday seems like a lot of fun. Too bad I was busy doing my own bus trips with my husband just to go to a particular vitamin store. We walked 2 blocks to the bus stop and waited for about 5 minutes. We went about 1/4 of a mile and changed busses. Then we waited for a long time for the second bus. Then we rode for about 6 miles. We got off the bus, walked across the street to the vitamins store. Luckily they have a couple chairs that they let the customers sit in. I sat and talked to the cashier while my husband shopped. Then we had to walk quite a way to catch the bus back toward home. Luckily we didn't wait very long for that bus. I though we were going to get stranded as the bus was having some engine trouble. We got to our connection. We decided that since we were out we would go out to eat at our favorite restaurant. We didn't have to wait long for that connection either. Thank God. It was 92 degrees outside. We got on the bus and he was early, but at least we got to sit in the air conditioned bus before he started moving again. We went to our restaurant and like dummies we got the buffet. Oh my poor feet. The buffet is cheaper and there is more variety than ordering on entrée off the menu. Then we had to walk about 1/2 block to get to the intersection and cross both streets to head home. Luckily that but was coming just as we got to the bus stop. Then when we got off the bus, we had the 2 block walk home. For most people this would not be too much too handle. I could have done it easily a few years ago and so could my husband. However with his Parkiinson's and my sciatica it makes it extremely hard. We decided we could not do that very much if at all any more.
Today is a new day and a new start. I am sore from yesterday but nothing that won't go away. Shopping this morning and housekeeper coming this afternoon. My kitchen appliances are going to get cleaned so I can use them to get my holiday baking done.
Buying yarn to make the housekeeper's children some crocheted animals for Christmas. This is how I pay the housekeeper as I cannot afford the prices of a regular housekeeper.

I think that's a great way to pay the housekeeper, and I'm sure her children love the crotched animals you make them. That's so sweet of you. I wish my hands still worked enough so that I could still do mine. I use to enjoy that as well and stll have bags of yarn I'm holding on to with hopes that they can get rid of some of this numbness in my hands so they'll work again.
I missed their trip yesterday too as I was out trying to get stuff done for my trip to Florida and then I was emotional for a portion of the day after talking to my dad and hearing him say he felt awful. He just never says that. He's always the one who says, I feel good, so it was up and down day for me. Hopefully today I can get to post office. I'm shipping down some clothes, then I'm.taking 1 small suitcase and checking it so that I don't have to carry amything on except me and my pocketbook.

grammagus, that does sound like a long trip. i go by bus too and i know what the waiting and timing are like. it sure isn't easy. i'm glad you and hubby ended it with a nice meal. the crocheted animals sound adorable. maybe you can post some photos.
brrrr ME, that's cold! you're so bright to ship some clothes ahead. i'm sorry your dad doesn't seem any better yet. still praying he will be soon. i bet he'll brighten up when he sees you! having been through that i understand that it's a lot to wrap your head and heart around. hope that your spirit is lighter today.
i'm not sure about the trip you two mentioned, so i guess i missed it, too. i was bone tired last night, but it was a rough night of pain and nightmares which seem to go together. at least i caught the maintenance man yesterday to look at a couple of things. my heater has never been serviced and it smells like burned dust when it comes on, so they'll come up and clean it today and repair the caulking on the floor from the upstairs leak. once they come i can bring plants in and trim. most of my plans involve sitting today!
my aunt is being transferred to a skilled nursing facility this week b/c she needs more care. unclear whether they'll do surgery.
may all have the best day possible.
Grammagus, you make bus riding into quite an adventure! (-: Sometimes you meet people to get acqainted with on the bus, dont you? I will not drool over your high temps. Suffice to say it was 25 deg this morning!

Drove hubby back to his truck, which was being serviced out of town. It was nice to have him home three das. Now I feel lonely and weepy. It will pass. Kids gt home from Florida. Disneyworld closed early on the day they went. It was preparing for Christmas parade. But they were tired @ 5pm anyway. They went to beach almost every day. Also went to Salvador Dali museum. Daughter was home almost two days before calling. I know she was busy, but it hurt my feelings and Ive been crying over that. It will pass.

Aw Dawn sorry your daughter didn't call you, mine done the same thing and i know the feeling. Think they just are tired and everything else leaves their feeble little minds ugh. Spend today doing something good for you!
I'm having a little b-day get to together with me and Addie today. Her b-day is Friday, but she has plans. All weekend she has basket ball championships which is funny to me when they are 3rd graders. Her big b-day party is next weekend where her and a few friends are spending the night at a hotel and swimming.

I've missed the group alot this last week or so. Its been a bit crazy here. Bf and I were having issues so I went to my best friend's place for a few days to get away and have someone to talk to. She always is the best listener and has great Godly advice. I got home Sunday evening and we've talked so things are better for now but it seems I've been busy with family every since. My Uncle died tuesday morning so I've been struggling with whether I can handle the 3 hr drive there and sit/stand through a wake and funeral all in the same day... I finally decided 'no' I can't do it, I'd just be a worry for my family and they don't need that at this time. I've had Noah alot since I got back as daughter and her bf are having troubles... he left last night - moved out as far as we know just hope he doesn't harrass her.
In the midst of all this I messed up my meds... took the morning meds at night then the noon pills in the morning and had withdrawal symptoms as I was over 10 hrs without my oxyNeo and I normally take it every 8 hrs... I got that straightened out but my sciatica is still giving me a hard time... I've been waking at night with alot of pain so I'm not sleeping well. I feel like I need another break already but I know I will come around in a few days.
Now I need to run pick up my granddaughter at school as my daughter is having trouble getting arrangements made for her to be bussed. Have a good pain-free day everyone, Love and hugs,
