Good morning friends. Today I am aiming for a 'free' day - stress-free, pain-free, worry-free, anxiety-free and free of all things unpleasant. I haven't been up and functional this early in a long time. I mean, yesterday I did take the kids to school but came home and went back to bed until noon. Today I had Noah wake me just before 7 am and Cruz arrived before 9 so I'm a bit more awake. I had difficulty getting to sleep last night but once I got to sleep I was out til morning which is unusual for me.
Today is a cool, sunny fall day. The boys are out kicking a ball around the yard and I'm about to start some laundry and hang it out before our rainy weekend. I love hanging clothes out this time of year, they feel so clean and fresh when they come in. I hope I can get to the bedding today as well.
I'm still really sore after being out of meds for a day, I even had trouble getting down the stairs this morning which is really unusual but I'll just pace myself today. I need to make another loaf of bread but the breadmaker does all the work so its no trouble and smells so good in the house.
I'm bringing the boys in to my daughters before lunch and maybe I'll be able to catch another cuddle with baby Oliver. He is so adorable. he's up to 5 lbs 9 oz now and he is 5 weeks old. His doctor is so happy with his progress and how quickly he's growing. Yesterday I got to hold him and kiss him for about 20 minutes while his mommy was in the shower - he's just a little bundle of sweetness and it makes me happy just to hold him. I'll try to post a picture I took with my phone yesterday.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
i think i was pretty successful yesterday in getting rid of most fleas, but i'll have to dose her again. oh boy, two heavy loads of laundry nearly did me in. penny sure seems to feel better! it was lovely outside, so i sat on patio with some female neighbors and gave one a bunch of coleus cuttings i'd rooted. i'm going to take her some soil and fertilizer today and help her plant. she's had a stroke.
hopefully, life can be semi-normal today and i can do a few more things. waiting for the daily news on my uncle - fingers crossed.

Serenity, glad you're kicking those fleas butts! Good news that Penny is feeling better. Mama takes good care of her. Really cool of you to help out neighbor. It's been my experience that when I do something for another it comes back to me tenfold.
Dawn, good luck at your SSI appt. Remember, they'll have your medical records. I'm also pretty sure that everyone that goes to those appointments are nervous so don't get too worked up about it. Glad you have someone to go with you for moral support. Hugs.
Well, we clipped Max's nails last night. He acted like we were trying to kill him. We've clipped his nails before so I don't know what the brouhaha was about. His nails looked like fishing hooks. The old LBP has returned but most of the nerve pain is still being held at bay. Today, not planning anything. I'm sure I'lll get into something though. Never fails, the mischief I find to get into.
