I'm having some menopause problems. I thought I was done for life. Not so! My nerves can't take these hormonal swings. I am very irritable this morning. I've had it with being disabled. What a waste of a life!
Well, maybe Obama will put me up in front of one of his "death panels." I don't want to suffer like this anymore. Obama has caused me grief, so maybe he will end my grief. lol
Hoping to turn this one around.
Petulantly,
Heather
Heather, were you up most the night? Poor thing!
My non-day includes the following...
1. DH will be driving his truck until after three pm TOMORROW, so will be at DD2s alone. Will bring a plate home for him when he gets home later that day. Disappointed. Especially for him, he loves real turkey.
2. Thank you for your concern about our water after the oil spill in river. Ive posted what our city's official advice is under that topic.
3. Good weather here. Be careful to all those traveling in bad weather.
4. All you cooks, pace yourself please! Hugs, Dawn
Grammagus, I'm sorry your wrist is hurting, but it sounds like you've been busy with your knitting. I had to stop my crocheting because my fingers were bothering me so much. I miss it alot so I hope that doesnt happen to you. Don't feel bad, I always forget something when I go to the grocery store as well. I went shopping yesterday and I forgot a few things and I had a list. I hope your pot luck dinner is nice. It's too bad more people aren't going, but that will be nice that the other lady is bringing her little one. Enjoy
Heather, I'm sorry you're in such a foul mood honey. Our hormones can do that to us, but thankfully it doesn't last long. please don't ever say you'd rather die than be here and be disabled. I know It's a tough life we have when you can't get out and are hurting all the time, but a lot of people care about you heather. Do you have someone you talk to when you get down like this Heather? You're usually so upbeat, I'm concerned about you. I hope you can call someone or talk to someone soon Heather. I hate to see you in so much pain.
As for me, I'm having a tough time with my dad and him taking in the right amount of fluids. At this point right now, I don't feel I could leave here and he would eat, drink or do anything of what he should on his own and that makes me nervous. He's having prostrate surgery on Monday and the woman called yesterday te pre-register him and he doesn't know where he was going for it ans neither do I. She gave me directions, but I didn't understand them and I said I'd put the address in my phone and use my gps. He was pissed because he didn't know where he was going. Lately, he can't put a sentence together, so I figured it would be easier to use GPS because he won't be able to give me directions. Wow what a nightmare.
I love him to pieces, but he's making me crazy. He won't take the fluids, although I finally got him drinking gatorade so hopefully, this will help with getting his mind back on track and him wanting to do something other than lie down.
I'm cooking tomorrow, so hopefully, it will be a good day. I hope everyone has a low pain, low stress day.
Love & hugs,
xoxoxoxo
Mary Ellen
grammagus, it sould like you have a nice, manageable holiday planned. send hubby to store and rest your wrists, please.
heather, a friend calls it meanie-pauz. it really can wreak havoc with your moods. i truly hope you get through this.
snailor, thanks for the update. i'll look. sorry dh can't be there, so i hope you bring him a big platter back.
ME, my dad is the same about getting fluids. i hope you have fun cooking.
it's very windy and cold here, but no precip, so i hope we're all safe on these mountainous roads. my head was pretty good yesterday, then the dang fire alarm went off for over 10 minutes. ouchie. i have to bake some appetizers and assemble a few things, including my emergency med pack. i got another upsetting call from a collection agency that my number is being used by a thief. i have to check with the credit bureaus ...later, not today. ugh. just going to take it slow and easy today.
wishing all the best possible day with much to be grateful for.
grammagus, hope your wrist feels better. That will be one lucky 2 yr old when you show up!
Heather, what the? Call your PCP and find out what's going on. I wouldn't want to be in front of a death panel with Obama at the helm. He might push the wrong button! Are you hurting this morning?
Dawn, sorry DH won't be there with you until late tomorrow. Sweet of you to take him a plate.
Mary Ellen, sorry to hear about Dad. A question you might ask his doctor is if Dad is ready for surgery right now. Are you sure Dad's being stubborn or maybe just not remembering to drink? Oh Dear, I hope he turns the corner. My prayers go out to him.
Serenity, it's supposed to be 50 here today but the wind is up and it's cold! OMG! The last thing you needed yesterday was a damn fire alarm! Have a warm, restful day.
I am still feeling good. I don't have Thanksgiving until Saturday so I'm cruisin' this A.M. Got my shopping done yesterday. Hal's off tomorrow so I'm going to enlist his help with cleaning, then I'll make fudge and peanut brittle and on Friday bake my pies. I pray for all of us Thanksgiving. I hope all enjoy. God Bless, Dianna
Heather I know that feeling; I am going through the same stage and the moodiness is sometimes unbearable - I hate being cranky and irritable but some days it just feels like everyone and everything is setting me off. Try to take some quiet time for yourself to calm down and do something you enjoy. Feel better soon.
Dawn - Hope your hubby still enjoys his leftover turkey dinner, shame he can't be there by just a few hours. Maybe you could bring home enough for both of you so you could sit down and have turkey dinner together at least. Hugs
Mary Ellen. Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble with your dad. I'm praying his surgery goes well and you have no trouble finding the place. Hugs for both of you.
Serenity, hope you can get that business sorted out with the collection agency. They never believe you're not the person they are calling for, just assume you're lying to get out of the bill. At least its not really for you. Have fun baking.
Dianna, sounds like you've got things all organized so you can pace yoruself well. Take care.
I have to run as it seems daughter was expecting me to go in there and I thought she was bringing Oliver here. Its been a good day so far, hope it doesn't go downhill now. Chat later folks, love and hugs,
ssLisa

Heather I remember that feeling! I hope it calms down.
Dawn - Your husband will enjoy and have you as his Thanksgiving.
Mary Ellen. What a kind, considerate and loving daughter you are with your Father being so difficult. I pray he becomes more compliant.
Serenity, I am baking too. Wonderful smells coming from the oven.
Dianna, pace and have fun!
ssLisa -have a day of joy with Oliver. Happy Birthday!!
Toni, I have that happen too, being booted and don't know why. Happiest of Thanksgiving.
JC-have a good day pre-Thanksgiving.
I am baking yeast rolls, pumpkin pie, Birthday cake for my Mother as she will be 87 tomorrow!!!! She is a 44 year survivor of ovarian, breast and melanoma cancer. Whoo who!
Need to peel potatoes and cut up fruit. This is going to Mom's and then number 2 granddaughter and hubby invited us for another Thanksgiving meal.
Happiness is the mincemeat pie I am about to create.
