As far as Libya is concerned that was a NATO decision - not Obama. But I agree - he said we would be out of Iraq - and didn't mention getting more involved in Afghanistan until he had the election locked in. Not good - he ran on a no-war platform up until then - and didn't keep his word. He didn't keep his word about a number of things - like Wall Street reform either - that is what is going to kill our country, imo.

is this about the White House Press Dinner? My video capablities are messed up right now...but I did watch last night and Obama and the MC absolutely skewered Fox and Trump. It was warranted, but uncomfortable to watch.

I thought Obama was right on target with his remarks about Trump. He could have said much worse. Trump has definitely said worse about him. At least it was done with humor. Trump does all of his nasty spewing with malice.

I do agree that we should back our military....but, please bring them home.

I think so LindaJean. Trump and the folks at Fox are Americans. The president works for all Americans, right? Why shouldn't Obama be respectful to them? Why shouldn't he behave like an adult? Like a leader?

I didn't watch it, but hasn't President's from years past participated? Isn't it all in fun?

Maybe it's all in fun but it sure it with tedious regularity that any "joke" on Obama is considered divisive or hateful regardless of the venue.

Perhaps when you are the president you can have it both ways.

I wonder at Trump, slamming the President and trying his best to come up with proof that he isn't American how do you do all that and then attend a dinner? I don't think Obama said anything very nasty, just poking a little fun at those who have been poking at him for a while now. If you can't take it then you shouldn't be dishing it out.
