Surgery

Halfway through chemo. Cancer marker bloodwork is back to normal levels. Scheduled for a total hysterectomy Friday. Then more chemo. Miss you all but the chemo made me pretty ill the last 3 weeks. Hope evereyone is well.

I am so glad that the bloodwork is better now...peace for you with surgery....many women have this one and it is not easy....but being a man I have no idea of what your through on this one....hugs

Oh wow, I didn't have Chemo in the past, I had radiation, I'm sure that's just as bad, I am SURE the chemo makes you sick. Wish you well, just keep thinking that soon the Chemo apps will be all over, and you can resume living in the beautiful nature that you have around you. That's the best medicine in the world!

Wow, Diane I am just seeing this. You are going thru so much! Today is Friday, so I hope you are resting peacefully after your surgery. Keep us in the loop. So sorry you are having these health issues.

Had surgery ten days ago. All my parts came out ok....lol. And they feel the chemo is working well. Once I am healed, chemo will continue. I did develop an infection, and my hospital stay had to be extended. I've been home since Wednesday, and I never missed a place so much. I'm having problems with weakness, and no appetite. But I'm resting a lot. Husband is being terrific. I have a nurse coming in twice a week, physical therapy coming in twice a week, and a neighbor who is available every day after 12:30 pm if I need anything while Greg is working. My brother just finished his radiation to shrink what's left of his tumor. His attitude is amazing. We got in the habit of going to a Chinese buffet together twice a month, and then shopping at a close out store. Can't wait to get back to that.

Glad you're doing well, Diane. A friend of mine had a tumor and fought it with her diet and it shrunk. She followed a vegan, very low fat diet. It's worth a look. I've been studying John McDougall, MD and I think he's got some valid points based on decades of research. I'm glad you're home and getting out already!☺

Hi Dianne, I am so glad the surgery is over and done. Now What about this chemo? How long will your first round be ? Are you getting any info on how to build your body up holistically to help you withstand the chemo better?
Thats crazy your brother also had an issue. I am glad you have people to help you out in your time of need. I will remember you and him in my prayers to night. It's great you have something special to look forward to with him. I miss my brother a lot, but family dynamics are strained and he married a woman like my step mother who is very possessive and jealous. Would never stand for me spending time with him without her. I can tell you know you are blessed with your sibling relatingship. Please get well soon!!!

I envy your relationship with your brother. I wish I had a similar relationship. Unfortunately things are strained.
