I have recently (the last week) been experiencing nightmares in which i am unable to make noise and feel threatened and scared. I have the same symptoms as you in terms or your anxiety attacks, i have trouble catching my breathe and on a regular basis find that i feel very weak and shaky. As far as dealing with all this i find it quite therapeutic to do small tasks around the house such as organizing things and cleaning things out. This may help me because i also have OCD but i find that with anxiety/depression, the best thing i can do for myself is keep my mind busy because that way i don't have time to think about all my problems. Another way i have found to keep busy is finding tv series and watching them online. Especially sitcoms because they can be quite comedic and are easy going to watch as opposed to a serious sitcom having to do with crime. Some shows i have recently watched online are Modern Family and the Middle. If you are interested in watching a tv series i would be glad to send you some links where you can watch them for free online. As far as organizing goes i have organized things that maybe aren't necessary but it is a rather gratifying feeling to know you have accomplished something and made your life a little more clutter-free. For example i went in my closet and organized my crayons, markers, and colored pencils by color order and bunched them up in rubber bands. I am not a child so i hardly ever use these, but it is still a great feeling to know i have organized something, no matter how useless it might be.
I literally just reorganized my whole room last week. I love reorganizing as well! And, I watch tv shows online all the time :) We have a lot in common. thanks for your advice tho, do you do anything to prevent having an anxiety attack when you know one is coming? does that make sense?
do you??
But yeah, personally with me*totally jumping in* I am always early when it comes to thing like work and school. But one time my mom needed to drive my car that day cuz her car was getting worked on, and she had me fill up the tank before i went in to work.(it could have totally waited till afterward!)
I was getting really panicky and my mom just got pissed off at me how i kept commenting i was gonna be late...
I made it to work with three minutes to spare... And It was really frightening. I HATE being late, and am terrified it I do, I'll get in trouble(like fired, grounded, etc). D:
