Maybe the thing to do is to start with a blog and then expand it into a non-profit if it becomes worthwhile and necessary. I was thinking of a non-profit organization because I want to raise funding for research studies, to advocate for divorce law changes, and to set up an endowment to help victims.

Oh also, I 100% agree, Dadda, about the shortcomings of DV shelters, as marvelous as they are. They usually do not address emotional abuse and untenable situations short of physical or sexual abuse. And they are offputting to higher socioeconomic groups unless they are desperately afraid. And what does one do between the immediate aftermath and rebuilding one''s life? Where does one go?

I would also like to start a retreat/refuge center where people could come to calm themselves with relief from stress, learn, and rebuild for a time. Then move on. Kind of a halfway house or way station. Peaceful, nourishing. Maybe also a bit like the retreats in beautiful nature with organic gardens for food there. I can't do it alone, but I can catalyze efforts like this. Maybe.

As for location, I prefer not to say. But I can get easily to anywhere from northern CA to southern portions of mountain states and the southwest US.
