For people and families who have tasted or advocate against the horrors of injustice
Beginning with the War on Drugs, the citizens of this country--as a result of having the hell scared out of them by the media regarding drug offenders--- gave far too much power to law enforcement. As a result, they began to militarize and the first SWAT type teams were formed. The no knock raids and other nonsense was "needed" according to the government to protect the public against "these dope fiends" that were trying to ruin our country.
Law enforcement became an OCCUPYING force instead of trying to protect the community.
From there it went downhill until 9/11. After 9/11 and the Patriot Act, law enforcement in this country went into high gear.
It is only gotten worse since then---and will continue to spiral out of control into a monotony of stupidity---because the citizens demand protection from the government for any perceived real or imagined fear or threat they might feel. The Nanny state was born.
We are now in a quasi Police State. We have become the modern day USSR.
They don't have to worry about ruining the country anymore, as we are doing a fine job of wrecking this country all by ourselves.
The forfeiture clause in most states also gave law enforcement an incentive to arrest anybody and everybody they think is involved with drugs. It never hurt to have a "carrot and stick" approach to keep this nonsense going, and the police departments all across the country have gotten rich seizing assets from citizens.
Now they are using the forfeiture clause to seize property used in the commission of a sex offense.
And now, with all the mandatory reporting, they have passed laws to make snitches of all of us. One of the cardinal aspects of a totalitarian regime is to turn citizens against citizens, making snitching mandatory. financially and accomplishing nothing by putting thousands of low level drug offenders in prison, we had to find a new "war".
Now that the War on Drugs is winding down after practically ruining this nation and filling our prisons with low level offenders, we have finally found another "war" to replace the War on Drugs.
America is really good at "war." In fact, that seems to be the only thing we ARE good at.
We now have a new war---the War on Sex Offenders along with the War on Common Sense, the War on Critical Thinking and the War on the middle class.
God Bless America---you just gotta love it.

You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...
I think things may start out with 'good intentions' and then a lot of different people get thrown into the pot... Many that are power mongers and do not have good intentions and it ends up with so many lives destroyed for the sake of 'making a case and winning'... Winning!!...
I think this became huge with three strikes as well... I believe Clinton had very good intent with this however it turned out to be a nightmare
I saw a news show about a man who was developmentally impaired and got life on his third strike... one was drunk in public and another was stealing a pair of boots out of a garage... Insanity... I can't remember the other strike but just nuts

I mentioned to you the movie I saw about the Sex Offender Registry that has six year olds on it.... I don't know where common sense comes into play... It seems that it's not that common after all...sigh
