A different kind of injustice.
It seems to have stopped for now, but in the past months I've been plagued by debt collectors...none after "me" but all tenacious. (My ex husband, his brother, and someone with my name, but a different middle initial.) These people are nuts. I was one inch away from trying to press charges. I'm not too happy about people calling all hours of the day and night. If it was just me...I really won't care too much. But I have a teenage daughter that is sometimes home alone. It's NOT okay for me that she's disclosing ANY information to a stranger. (She's phone smart, but it dozens of calls wear her down too.)

My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart. Used a different debit card and pulled apart everything looking for missing debit card before I left parking lot. Got home, dropped keys. So now I have a missing debit card, missing keys. I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... With caller id and message recording, I let the machine pick up, and then if I recognize the caller's voice, or know it's someone I need or want to talk to, only then do I pick up the telephone. Every one in the house knows to let the telephone number of the caller come up before picking up the telephone, and if the number displayed is not a known number, then let it go to the machine.
This came about after several information collection conversations happened. I go on-line and check the numbers out now. I'm not willing to share information now after learning of badgering, insulting, threatening, and only to find out it's the "wrong" person after all that.
Emergency treatment bill situations often add up significantly because of the all the specialized and separated treatment costs. Even though the facility worked to reduce the bill, all those specialized and separated treatment attached to the single visit did not.
