For people and families who have tasted or advocate against the horrors of injustice
I just felt compelled to make a separate thread regarding some of the reader's disgusting and repulsive comments made about the botched death penalty situation in Oklahoma (I started a separate thread about it a day or so ago.)
In the thread, I mentioned that this story of the condemned man's suffering would not faze most of the Okies in this state; and apparently, it didn't.
These comments reflect the ignorance and how mean spirited many of those in the Bible Belt have become.
Below are some of the comments taken exactly from the readers' comments at the conclusion of the article-------------
""So what!! ! the people he murdered were probably a "bloody mess" also when he got thru with them!""
""I believe he got what he had coming to him. When you do evil sadistic things to someone the universe sends the same thing coming back to you.""
""As I understand it, the execution was not "botched." He did die, didn't he?""
""We can change our laws if we must...
Hang em' high, line in up and shoot em', gas em', chop their heads off with a sword as they do in the middle east. Cold blooded killers deserve no sympathy.""
""You know, I'm a little tired of hearing about this. If you don't want to worry about being put to death and the problematic issues that may go along with it hand in hand, then don't murder people in cold blood.""
""I am SO SICK of hearing about this. Wasn't the main objective to kill this animal? Who cares if he had to suffer? He certainly did not care about his victims suffering. Enough with this stale story.""
""The punishment still did not fit the crime, he did not suffer nearly enough !!!!""
These comments were only a small sample of the hate brought out by the article. I finally became disgusted and stopped reading the comments......
I did not want to lose any more faith in humanity.

Aw it's horrible rew... I think focusing treating others as well would like to be treated is so very important... Again I think hooking up with an advocate group if you haven't already would be really great support for you... I felt like I was going crazy at times before I did

That being said, I agree with Sun, if you need to be involved to find your comfort zone, then join an advocate group that fits. It's difficult to maintain composure when your well-being is surrounded by blasting negatives from lack of experience, big bold words written on the net anonymously is far less courageous than standing strong in person, face to face with that fear.
