New Ortho tomorrow...

Tomorrow morning at 8:45 I will have my appt. with Dr. Chen. I've heard wonderful things about him and he's too young to be winning awards on the senior tennis team like the last one I saw! He should just retire and devote all his time to sports!

I really hope I don't need a second referral and appt. to get this doc to look at my knee. The pain has now involved my hip down to my foot and my altered gait is causing pain on the other side, too. The pain in my knee has started to feel like it's burning, now. What's with that???

I also wrote a letter, brought the printout of my med history signed by my Pharmacist and delivered it to my NP!! She's been screwing with my meds and not reading my records. My Pharmacist was livid and called her to straighten out the goof she made with my last script. She made it clear that I have never abused my meds or shopped at any other Pharmacy. She's amazing...as amazing as my NP is inept. That's why I made a chocolate cake for her last Wednesday!

I'm really hoping I can get on a decent PM plan and that the Ortho can shed some light on my Rotator Cuff and knee issues. Am I asking too much? Maybe...

Anyway...thanks for being here for me. It makes a huge difference in my life.

Glad to here you are getting some answers and some one that is listen. Sounds like your journey at the office was positive . Sorry to here about the surgery but Cherry if this helps cut your pain it will all be worth it. Your visit seemed very positive . Smoking ? Now that's a bummer but will make you healthier and hasn't anyone every told you how unattractive it is for a Wien to smoke ? Well since your a friend and I know you'd do the same for me you let me know when you have to stop and I will smoke enough for the both of us ok ? Lol hugs and prayers. Keep us posted

Cherry my experience with surgery has been when whatever it is that has been repaired there is such a relief from the pain that i needed less meds. I was like you with the dose of pain meds when I had my surgery. The same dose and same med covered my surgical pain after surgery. I hope this will be the case with you. Do you know the damage on your neck? I ask because the two sometimes goes together. Damage at C5-C6 and C6-C7 causes shoulder pain. I have never had an MRI of my shoulder because even though there is pain it doesn't restrict my movement.
The negative of this surgery is you will have to prepare for being without income during the healing. If you work you will be right back in surgery.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
