I am home. I didn't want to set myself up for another massive disappointment from w/c, so I didn't post that it got approved again. The state of NC Industrial Commission stepped in and got the thing approved.
I had it done this morning at 8:00 AM. The anesthetic is wearing off and the pain is setting in from the procedure, I'm going to try and sleep before it totally does.
I won't know probably for a couple of days how effective it will be, but it's buzzin' away right now. Thank you all for your support through that tough time I had. I'll keep you posted.

I have been whistling and singing this week. My wife doesn't know what to do with me. This SCS has made such a difference in my life of CP. My pain levels have been around 3-4, and that's with about half the meds.
Thank you all for your support and please remember........your kind words and advice to me and others is what makes us family. Keep it up and thank you, thank you, thank you.
I go tomorrow and have the trial removed. I'll keep y'all posted.

I know that the Doctor's and company reps say to turn off the SCS while going through traffic lights, but all of that is BS, I have had my SCS turned on since 2008 (minus the time that I had issues), and I've gone through thousand trafic light, turnpike's, etc., and my SCS has not gone crazy yet, so try it and you'll see what I am telling you. Good luck!
I am with Tipper on this I of course have only had my permanent since the 2nd and I think I have turned it off 2 times. 1 in the shower as I was pretty juiced up and trying to wash my legs was an issue! LOL My SCS is in my lower extremities. And I drove with it off once.
St.Jude rep says she has to tell me to turn it off but it is really my choice. She says they only worry about the transitional surges.

DOes it change the lights to green for you??? :-)
Seems like you'd get in an accident from worring about turning it off.
I have to confess, I have a Tens unit and I use it when I drive. I turn it down but I still use it. It is hard to concentrate in pain.

I am sorry to hear that you have to go back to being in pain. Hope you get the permanent unit and back to your low pain life.

The doctor was very pleased with my results and prescribed a permanent implant.
I spoke to w/c today and so far it sounds like it will be approved, but I'm not sure until I hear the words count backwards from ten. I got referred to a spine specialist because I am going to get a paddle lead. Thanks to all.

I can't see them not approving it when it works for you and it's an easy out for them too. You know what I mean? I say it's a go!
