I am home. I didn't want to set myself up for another massive disappointment from w/c, so I didn't post that it got approved again. The state of NC Industrial Commission stepped in and got the thing approved.

I had it done this morning at 8:00 AM. The anesthetic is wearing off and the pain is setting in from the procedure, I'm going to try and sleep before it totally does.

I won't know probably for a couple of days how effective it will be, but it's buzzin' away right now. Thank you all for your support through that tough time I had. I'll keep you posted.

Update:

Today I drove to work and had the SCS turned off while driving. The first time since Tuesday, and the pain reared it's ugly head within 15 minutes of it being off. I'm sitting here now with this baby buzzin' away and it's working. Yesterday I went from the usual 5 pain pills, down to 3. I'm hoping to go even lower.

I slept better last night. I did go to church and choir practice last night, but I made it through, trying to do different things, without overdoing it.

I'm at work now getting ready to walk around. I'll stay as long as I can. So far, so good !!! Thanks for the support.

After the trial, if it continues to be successful, will they immediately place to permanent one?

My doctor told me if the trial is successful there is usually a 3 week interval, but........................I don't know about workers' comp. I see my atty. on Friday.

My pain has reached an all time low today. I am looking forward to really getting to know how this will work. So far I am reaching my doctors requirements to consider a permanent implant.

I knew this thing would work. Again, so far, so good.

Today was the first day that I woke up with pan levels below 5. I am holding for now between 3 & 4, still with less medication. I am looking forward to a good shower, but not sure I want this taken out.

I am getting used to the vibration and the feeling all the way to my fingertips. I think that is the biggest hurdle. If I get the permanent I will get paddle leads.

Yes it is. The stimulation in my arms and hands is pretty intense, but I get the sensations all the way up into the back of my head.

Definitely a different kind of feeling. Almost like my hands are asleep. If I need to work with my hands I just turn it down. No headaches either!!
