Grrrrrrr....I didn't learn this in Cosmetology school. I used to be a PT aid in a nursing home so I tried to brace myself in the proper stance, but it's not a large bathroom and well....she took up most of it!

O G, sorry Cherry. When you work for the public I think you do it all, see it all!!!

I'm sorry Cherry I had to laugh at this picture in my head. I feel so bad for you though. You should have flat out told her that because of restrictions your dr put on you that you can't lift her! Please please take good care of yourself! Like you said she doesn't even tip!!! Nothing is worth the pain you are going to feel over this. This is just going to cause more tears in your shoulder. Oh you make me worry about you!

Melinda...I almost let her go half way off the toilet. I just didn't want the seat to break!

I'm hurting like crazy...I really hope I didn't tear it more, but my right hand is even starting to go numb. My shoulder is definitely the worst it's been.

If I actually followed doctor's orders, she wouldn't have even gotten the damned perm! This will limit my typing tonight.

You deserve hazard pay and a medal for that act of kindness! Goodness Cherry you are a saint! Next time tell her to bring her own bathroom attendant. You don't need more pain!!! You need to put a sign saying that you cannot lift heavy loads due to injury. If heavy lifting is required call 911 next time. My goodness gracious! Hugs, Cathy

Cherry...my sweet little sis...I am SO SORRY for what happened. I sure hope you didn't hurt it more. I'm sure your pain is just horrible; i wish I was there to help you out.

What is it with the "public" thinking we "owe" them? Its' about time we all stood up and said NO,when we know it will cause us pain? People like that irritate me to know end and to know she hurt my dear friend like that makes me even more irate.

You take care of yourself Cherry, you are there to do hair,PERIOD. Let her figure out how to use the bathroom and get up herself. I use my walker sometimes to get up, not my whole weight on someone as I know I will hurt someone and I'm sure I don't weigh anything like she does.

If this lady knows you are in bad shape, then that was just plain rude and selfish for her to even think that you had to help HER.What about you? Noone takes care of you....people like this are so insensitive it makes me sick.

Cherry you have to tell her that you have a injury and can not help her so next time she comes she has to bring someone with her to help her or she is going to be stuck for a long time. Even working with the public that is to far as I worked in a Restaurant and I would never help someone off the toilet it is just beyond what our job description is.

When she has the next appt you have to tell her and if she does not have anyone then she is on her own. I think it was rude of her in a way to expect you to help her.

She is asking you to go far beyond the scope of your job! Please tell her that you have physical limitations, and that you can no longer assist her with her toileting needs. For goodness sake, really? A water pill just before a long hair appt? Geeeeesh.

It makes me hurt just thinking about it! I believe I would have to draw my line in the sand on this one..... or at least at the bathroom entrance! GEEZ! I can't really say much though cause I do things automatically sometimes withourt thinking and pay a heavy price later. I hope you're not hurt too bad! Randy
